He also went in for Owen Hargreaves not long after. If we spend this money on Moura you reckon he can do the same? I don't.

Hargreaves was 2007 - same time as Anderson and about four years later than Ronaldo, Kleberson and D-D. We got Carrick before Hargreaves, and neither of those stopped us going for Anderson, Nani and Berbatov over that season. Ultimately if we really need or want a player then the manager will go for him - even if we get Moura we'll still have spent less than we did last summer. Also, now Mourinho has told Sahin he can leave, Real won't be expecting a massive fee if we do move for him, so I think those two could both very feasibly arrive.

Anderson was signed same as Nani and Howard, I'm fairly sure Hargreaves wasn't that summer but that's irrelevant, I did indeed mean Carrick and got the two mixed up. The point is if we blow 30 million on Moura, which is twice as much as we paid for Ronaldo anyway, can we also buy quality centre mid? I think not myself.

I'm pretty sure our signings around that time were:

    Carrick - £18 million 2006
    Hargreaves - £17 million 2007
    Nani - £14 million 2007
    Anderson - £18 million 2007
    Tevez loan - £10 million 2007
    Da Silvas - £5 million 2007

So in the summer of 2007 we spent a good £65 million on new players, with three CMs joining over the space of two summers and a new winger we arguably didn't need, mainly cos SAF recognised that Scholes was going downhill a bit due to his eyesight issues. And back then the debt was at its highest level, so cash was a much bigger issue. Imo if we don't buy a new CM it will not be because the money isn't there or has been spent on Moura, but because SAF is having one of his stubborn moments and refusing to write off Anderson and / or Fletcher.

Yeah, and don't forget how it was piece of piss to win the league back in the 90's with a 'team of reserves and academy players'. We may even have played a centre forward at left back! Solid to win the league now of course, can only be done with foreign influx. Get more Brazilian teenagers in for **** sake or we are doomed.

At the end of the day it depends how good the youth players are that you have comeing through. If they're good enough then they're good enough, if they're not then they'll be moved on. The one thing we have always done under Fergie is to give the youth players a fair crack.

Of course they do. They have to now that we're drowning under the biggest debt ever to have been incurred in the history of forever. Where have you been for the last seven years? We haven't spent a penny since we were taken over by the evil Yanks <ok>

I could quote you Shwan but as English is not your first language that would be churlish. Suffice to say, you don't half talk some utter bollocks pal and a lot of it is simply hooked from some website or other.

Use your own opinion, people might just respect it a bit then.

What? Which statement is this, try to be a bit specific?

    I have no idea what you are babbling on about but I can answer the bit about paranoia and imaging;

    No, I don't have paranoia.

If I want to image stuff I can use a camera, or maybe a scanner or even a photo copier. Depends on the image really.

You'll be making ridiculous bets next! Passing someone else's opinion off as your own is plagiarism, end of. If you haven't actually seen Moura play admit it, instead of pretending you have. Especially when you use <doh> as you attempt to put down the person you are essentially lying to. You must think some of us came down from the bloody moon. Try this one for size; wait until such time as you've seen a player play then form YOUR OWN opinion and you'll get less mither from the likes of me, who can spot a fake from a mile off. <ok>

According to sources from Bloomberg: Manchester United has received enough orders to sell all the shares in its IPO.

Just saw this on another site.
