C'mon son , you done good for GB, now come on home and finish what you started. That pass from the left back position for Burke's goal v Doncaster...still for me one of the best passages of play I've seen for years. C'mon home lad....c'mon home! Getting a bit emotional now.
Yes the Gb thing is done now for the football team time you sort yourself out. Stay in Cardiff have a chat with the club and get it done!!
We should never have let Bellers go the first time, but im glad we re-signed him and gave him a second stint at LFC the club he supports. If as expected he goes 'home' to finish his career i wish Craig a successful time at Cardiff in their quest for promotion and also best wishes for the future. And good luck to the Bluebirds for next season and the future.
i'm sure Craig reads this forum on a regular basis, and I take credit for his signing..... Looking promising!
El Tel doing his usual Terry Phillips ‏@ElTelPhillips Don't hold your breath on Bellamy to Cardiff City - I believe it will happen, but he hasn't sorted out leaving Liverpool yet. That is first.
Malky was on Talksport this morning and would not make any comment on the Bellers situation. Well he wouldn't would he?
Believe it will all be tied up and deal done by friday, just in time for the new kit and stadium re-opening
WoL. The 33-year-old Wales striker is expected to sign a new deal with the Bluebirds within the next few days in his career finale. City boss Malky Mackay is understood to have been busy trying to tie up the loose ends of the deal from the moment Bellamy and Team GB bowed out of the Olympics. Bellamy has held discussions with new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers about his future, but is keen on a return to South Wales for personal reasons. Mackay wants to sort out the signing in time for Bellamy to play in City’s Championship opener with Huddersfield next week. The Cardiff boss believes it will be an unexpected bonus , and highly unlikely, if the transfer can happen ahead of Saturday’s pre-season glamour friendly with Newcastle. I will go along with, it will be announced at the re-opening of the stadium. I wonder how many more season tickets will be sold. I notice the family stand is fully sold out already.
Shaping up nicely. Has Taiwo gone yet? Gerrard has departed. Most of the 'pruning' done. Bellamy would be the class we're looking for. Rumour of interest in Lawrence. With those two signings the squad would look largely complete. A bit more pace out wide and certainly more natural width. Add a left back and a few youngsters and MM will have completed his shopping list of 10. It may take a few games to settle down with all the options available to MM (did I really write that?) but we should be in a far better place than this time last year. I wonder how long the Kim paper work will take? Helguson Etien Bellamy Whitts Kiss Conway Taylor Turner Huds Kev Marshall Doesn't look too shabby with: Lewis, Earnie, Ralls, Blake, Mutch, Mason, Cowie With Kim, Gunner, K9, Harris, Rudy, McPhail (though I do fear for him), as cover and a host of youngsters on the fringes
Surely Kim will be a starter once his paperwork is sorted, his transfer fee means people are going to expect an impact from him. What that list shows is that when the Championship is at its worst fixture wise, we can select 2 very strong teams, we should be aiming for automatic promotion this season.
Malky will have some interesting selection issues in the next few weeks with Kimbo, Gunner, Mutch, Mason and Cowie in particular seeking to be in the starting 11. Kimbo for Conway and Gunnar for Kiss being the obvious changes from your first choice 11 ccfc. We will have a really strong bench this season. Thankfully changed back to 7 subs to keep a couple more relatively happy on match day. I agree about McPhail. If playing is too much for him I hope another role can be found for him within the club. As we know Venus Williams has the same problem as Steve and she looked a shadow of her former self in the Olympics Ladies Doubles Final. Mind you I think Serena could have beaten the Czech pair on her own.
I left Kim on the standby list as we don't know when he'll be with us Stevo. Agree he'd move on to the bench or into the team once he's with us. Bellamy asside, there still seems a little bit more quality and certainly a lot more depth this time round.
I cant believe that MM wont find a place for Joe Mason. I also think he will stick with his 1 up front formula to start the season off. I for the life of me cannot select the team i would like to see at the moment. Its so confusing its hurting my ead !!
