My next door neighbour hit me with this one this morning. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// there are two olympic sports, and one ex olympic sport. In all three you can only win by going backwards. I got two, and he had to tell me the third. I know you can Google it, or Wikky it. but go on stretch your brains. some of you folks will piss this anyway.
Thats as far as I got,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, And while Im on. I must apologise to you for my behavior last night, no excuses, was bang out of order. whatever led up to my outburst, Is personal and will remain with me. But I shouldnt have had a go at you. All I can say in all honesty is SORRY.
Nope, because you dont have to go backwards, ie the fosbury flop [ spelling ] you can also do the straddle, or whatever means you take to get over the bar. as I said totally backwards. when someone gets it right, you will see what I mean, by the way It did my head in for hours till I asked for the answer.
I have worked it out but am too modest to claim the prize. (HINT: it can be played anywhere from school playground onwards).
YEP. did you work it out or google it? nice one for letting the other folks try to work it out. as we all know google and wikky is east, whats the point of a crossword, when you have the answers in the back? as I said nice one for not giving it away.
Think i have it, it was played on it's a knockout often, when up & under was one of the host's.. 90% sure.ktf ha way the lad's.
I am an honourable gentleman of the old school and would only Google it in desparation. Oddly enough though the local TV station mentioned that very sport a week or so ago when compaaring it to the more modern events and suggested it should make a comeback. Could rather fancy it in place of professional golfers and tennis players.
As no one else has said exactly what it is I'll keep quiet. All I will say is that it was in the early days of the Olympics. There were two teams competing and another piece of equipment was needed. That will probably help some of you to work it out. Oh and you need an anchor.
