The ROI is not in recession, like the UK But seriously, one of my major skill sets is programming in C# .net Dublin: €75k http://www.hallrecruitment.ie/jobs/...rce=Indeed&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Indeed Belfast: £20k-£30k http://www.nijobfinder.co.uk/Job/Co...-Ireland-Co-Antrim/275715/Senior-C-Developer/ 100 miles apart, twice the wage.
This is a bullshit example, I could easily pick you out two jobs in London that would be similar roles with similar salaries. Some companies/organisations pay top dollar*, some pay peanuts. *Not that 75k is top dollar if it's only Euros.
They were the first results from Google. It's not hard to compare: http://www.irishjobs.ie/Senior-C#-Developer-Jobs-in-Dublin http://www.nijobfinder.co.uk/search/66103243 What do you think my incentive is to rent a flat and pay for flights every week to the Isle of Man if I could get similar level of work at home?
No it is not, there is no "Official" national Anthem. There is no authorised version of the National Anthem as the words are a matter of tradition. The anthem has also never been officially declared as the national anthem of the country, the royal anthem (as this technically is) is used as the national anthem as a matter of tradition, but this is also due to the unique constitutional situation in the United Kingdom, as the nation doesn't have a formal constitution. http://www.nationalanthems.info/gb.htm
I'm English and British If I played football it would be for England - if in the Olympics for Great Britain - surely the same applies to Scots/Welsh/Northern Irish?? By the way - didn't a scottish squash player end up becoming english because the funding was better?
Why would any self respecting Scot find it offensive? Does it erode their own identity, and no one ask's them to sing or listen to it.
The Olympic team is actually Great Britain and Northern Ireland For the football the Scottish and Northern Irish FA's decided not to participate in case Blatter used it as a stalking horse to have a GB team in football
If the useless bastards hadn't decided to stop at oxford and turn back home none of this **** would have happened
An Irish man got a bronze for them. Basically anyone can play for team GB. They have truly given the games to the world....the only trade off is the anthem.
