United to struggle for top 4?
If that's the case, will Liverpool struggle for top half?

Or is this "their year" :D

Ironically, your reply post wasn't "original" either.

Even now, the fans who originate from Manchester or who have lived in Manchester will know there is genuine respect to Liverpool and the city. Yes there is a lot of dislike/historic rivalry between the 2 cities but respect is there for all to see if you ever get to chat to Mancunians like i have done when i was living down there last year.

You could say the same with the United/Man city rivalry. A heated rivalry when on the pitch yet off the pitch, these City and United fans are best mates and have genuine respect for both clubs. Just look at Matt Busby, he played for City and made over 200 appearances. He then managed United and he still went to City's games.

Yes its wrong the way these Sheiks came along and bankrolled the club but hand on heart, i am glad another northern team is doing well and is winning trophies. City's fans have had decades of winning jack all and their long term fans deserve the success.

You can only experience these emotions of the clubs/fans and the genuine respect they have towards each other if you have ever lived in Manchester.

Fans of both clubs mixed freely at Anfield and OT up until the start of the gang culture in the 70's you tosser.

Or do you know more than Paddy Crerand?,in fact do you even know who Paddy Crerand is?

On the pitch, enmities were not clear-cut. Manchester City were the bigger Mancunian club until the Second World War, while Everton were often the pre-eminent Merseyside force. If anything, the relationship between United and Liverpool was one of respect until the 1960s.
Players, such as Pat Crerand, used to watch Liverpool when United did not have a game. "We'd stand on the Kop," recalls Crerand. "The Scousers would have a word with us, but it was good-humoured."

True, but as pretty much all Utd fans know those injuries did impact the team a lot. Especially in defence - we barely had a settled defence at all for the first half of the season with significant injuries to everyone barring Evra (who was obviously psychologically scarred from October onwards ;))

Dunno about Agger's injuries - never really paid that much attention to him. But an injury problem is an injury problem, whatever the cause, and either way you can't rely on an injury prone player for a full season.
