As if anybody is whinging about one of the greatest days in GB sporting history. FFS just smashing the Aussies is enough.
GREAT DAY SUPER SATURDAY FOR GB and another today-sunday. But you just knew that the GB mens footballers would mess it up and they did. Nevermind having a go at Sturridge, I blamed Ramsey just as much. The game should never have gone to extra time nevermind penalties. Korea showed how to take a good pen. I think Pearce and co. need to slip away whilst they can. Well done to Ennis - Farah and Rutherford. Plus all the others who have excelled. True Greats and sports stars who deserve our respect. imo.
Is this team, the best team, that has ever represented Great Briton? Dani King, Laura Trott and Jo Roswell win gold in the women's team pursuit, six consecutive world records.
I just have to say, Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce (100m champion) has a damn fine ass, had to share. As much as I want more golds, I am finding it hard to want that sour faced twat Murray to win. Will just have to make sure I am watching other things when he's on.
Quite certain this hasn't been reported on the Glorious BBC ... That in the mens team sprint (qualifying round) Hindes DELIBERATELY crashed to get a restart (a restart is allowed for either a technical fault or an accidental crash ). Hindes said he crashed as his initial start was so bad they wouldn't make up the time to get the medals - The crash was reported quietly on the BBC , though Hindes admission that he crashed deliberately wasn't reported on the BeeB . The British Cycle team put it down to poor Hindes poor English (he is German) . Its not quite the same as what happened in the badminton but still its a bit sour tasted when we wag the finger at cheating elsewhere.
Whittling stick, Quite certain this has been reported on the Glorious BBC. It was in a BBC interview straight after the race. I got the impression, from the look on Criss Hoy's face, he was joking.
Who would try to take a penalty by running up as if he was going to aim for the touch line and then try to kick it to the left? It looked like he was trying to fail.
Did anyone catch that exhuberant wally on the radio, after yesterday's medals haul, say: "Team GB has moved past France, into 3rd place, with only USA and China ahead"? Yeah, right - USA = 26 Gold/ 54 total; China = 25 Gold/ 55 total; GB = 14 Gold/ 29 total. We're doing pretty well, but WHAT A DORK!
What a bellend! We moved past South Korea into 3rd. Also yeah those 2 are a bit out of reach methinks.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19107973 They haven't ignored it, I only know about it because I saw in the BBC end of day summary, when they also discussed if he cheated or just used the wrong words.
