well done to ramsey to take one so emphatically in the shoot out.

was surprised sinclair didnt take one if he was on the field, would expect him to hold his nerves no problem.....

but to be fair to south korea their pens were pure class and though they got lucky with butland messing up for the ki goal and ramsey missing a pen, they probably edged it in the overall run of play....shimmeys in the run up are a no no for me and sturridge should have blasted it down the centre if he was nervous....

overall a decent showing by team GB but i am very dissapointed we didnt get a shot at a medal......<ok>

Sinclair was subbed by Rose but Rambo should not have missed his second in normal time, a poor penalty.

However, GB were lucky to be awarded one let alone 2. Many refs would not have given either.

At least we can now get on with signing Bellers. <ok>

Anyone any idea why Kimbo didn't get a game?

Sturrige was usless all match except for that one flash of pace when he got behind the defence and cut it back to Rambo ,other than that a trafic cone would have done a better job .

We were sitting umonst the Korean fans and brilliant support to both sides and as penaltys became apparent we were all saying they were going to be favourites .

BR or whoever they are called now did their usual thing and fecked up the trtavelling arrangements after when they had so called advisers sending people to the wrong station platforms and queing in the wrong que`s.

Think there was more water in the beer in town after all that rain ,well thats what they do innit after a big event ...water it down ? ;O)

I have not been overly impressed with Sturridge over the last two games (didn't see the other games). He came across as a bit arrogant, trying the fancy stuff but messing it up and messing up the basics as well. Tried to be a bit of a showman built on his own confidence and failing miserably because of his lack of technical ability.
His penalty attempt was worse than Ramseys but Ramsey was attempting to score not matter what. Sturridge showed no respect for the keeper and got caught out by his arrogance.

For me he just seemed to have a terrible first touch, it let him (and TGB) down time and time again.

agree, a very selfish, lazy individual who needs a kick up the backside.

tbh john i remember the last time i went to a big event in the millenium about 2 years ago they cocked up the transport then, massive queues everywhere and these people in charge cant run a bath let alone a big event like this...

My thoughts exactly! He is infuriating to watch, he just seems incapable of doing the simple things. It's borderline criminal that he has managed to con Chelsea into giving him a contract.
