... to show a casual fan the door?

Or is it a case of keeping your friends close, but your enemies closer?

You know my feelings Vetch, I was the first one to say what he was. I know some on here gave him the benefit of the doubt and I don't mind that, or even people saying I was mad but I think it's blatantly obvious now what he is.

What have I done this time?

I'm not your enemy Vetch, but get rid of me if you want. Don't want to hang around if I'm not wanted. Got better things to do with my time. But apologies if I have somehow upset you. Not sure why there are so many sensitive people on here.

I think a bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss casual. It's pretty obvious that you're a Cardiff fan and you don't even deny that any more. I've no problem with that and some of your posts have been spot on as far as I'm concerned so I don't understand the need for the silly charade.

However, your post on the "Why?" thread by musty was well out of order and whereas I'm against banning I think you need to watch your step. Judging by the writing style my guess is that you're the one and only Swamp but I could be wrong. Go on, fess up - you'll feel better for it.

Casual is just a blunt and opinionated follower of things Swansea City from afar. Dilli, I had a serious run in with him last year, wher he threatened libel action against me! Where his true loyalties lie, only he knows, but he certainly has an obsession with all things Swansea City making him a fanatic whether he actually likes it or not!!

Be him a true jack or not, he certainly is obsessed with the Jacks and creates debate.

No ban...just choose to ignore if you wish. Witch hunts are never an attractive thing for this forum.

Why ban him, although he has seems to have an air of doom about him and highlights the negatives ( on second thoughts ,off with his head )

"an air of doom about him and highlights the negatives" ...just like many others on here who take great delight in spreading every negative rumour they pick up on.

An outsiders opinion if you will permit me to have my say.........................

I read most Swans posts as we have a bit of a friendliness between our two clubs (long may it continue) but rarely say a great deal and certainly far less in the summer.

From what I have seen I would think a ban would be pretty severe, harsh and needless action. I have never seen him be abusive, racist or homophobic in any of his posts but he does seem to rub a lot of you guys up the wrong way :undecided:

Taking the "Why" thread, as highlighted above by Knackeredjack as an example I would suggest Casual Fan is prone to being clumsy with choosing his words and perhaps the process between what he is thinking and what is actually typed is a little lost in translation. Basically, if he took a little more time to read what he says before hitting the "post" button a lot of the friction caused could be avoided. A little later in "THAT" thread he went on to explain what he actually meant in his initial response (which far clearer to read and understand).

So much can be misinterpreted by words on a forum, hence so many bloody arguments between fans of different teams (and sometimes of the same team).

As pointed out above, if you don't want to see what he writes, use the "ignore" facility <ok>

I'm not and have no idea why anyone thinks I am. Some I think remember me from the old BBC 606 days. Why would I go to the trouble of pretending to be a Swans fan for 3 years? Just doesn't make any sense.

The funny thing is that I have been on the Cardiff board once (to check what someone said). Others on here seem to spend more time on the Cardiff board than the Swans board. Cardiff don't mean anything to me and so I have no need to obsess over them like many on here. The ones who obsess the most are the ones that seem to think I'm a Cardiff fan. If you support the Swans when why the **** are you on the Cardiff board. Leave it along and support your own team.

Yes, I'm blunt and opinionated and that is what many can't handle. If they don't agree with me then I must be a Cardiff fan.

Definitely not doom and gloom. As I have pointed out in the past, I don't see players and managers leaving as doom and gloom. Both come and go and it is the team that matters, not individuals. Some individuals are obviously more important than others but they can still be replaced. I don't get all emotional like many others and think the world is going to end just because a manager or player leaves.

And I don't start rumour just for the sake of it. I already said i think Sinclair will stay and think that Laudrup leaving thread in nonsense. But it was obvious to me that Rodgers was leaving and it's obvious to me that Allen is leaving. I make no apologies for stating things as I see them. Some want to wait for the official announcement and that is fine with me. But if that's your thing then why get upset by speculation threads. If you don't believe it then good for you. I'm just saying what I think and if you don't like it then tough luck. Don't read speculation threads if they upset you. Simple. If you don't like what I say then just use the ignore button. Simple. But some of you aren't even capable of doing such a simple thing. So what's the problem? Are these people upset just because they don't have enough self-control to ignore me.

I'm a Swans fan but that doesn't mean I love all things Swansea (the town) or all things Welsh. They are separate.

You mean like me saying Sinclair was staying and saying that the laudrup leaving thread was nonsense. Oh, I see now how I take delight in spreading EVERY negative rumour. I said Rodgers and Allen were leaving. One is already official and the other will be soon. I took no delight but just said it as it was.

Yes, I should take more care to read posts first.

But I thought this lot were less sensitive than some are actually turning out to be.

Some will have it in for me whatever I say and I will always rub them up the wrong way. Nothing I can do about that. In fact, some on here deserve to be rubbed up the wrong way!

It's not unique to this board and the summer months are notorious for in-fighting as everyone is bored without football to keep them going. You should have seen the QPR board in the last week, some quite serious in-fighting going on there <yikes>

Ha ha like it Phil you cheeky so and so.

Not once have I asked anyone to ban him. I think he's one of the beer mat for a badge boys from Legoland and a very sad individual.

I'm surprised there's still any doubt about him, I've thought it for a long time and as far as I'm concerned he's been given enough rope and has finally hung himself. On one thread last week he started again to make comments about my wife, a few of our posters saw it and asked him to apologise. Guess what? No apology as I expected. He's just a lowlife and a Cardiff fan.

Not a question of misinterpreting casual's post on the "Why" thread. Can't understand why anyone would say that. His direct comment was "You should be proud not to be Welsh." He's now explained that's not what he meant and we have to accept that. He doesn't strike me as stupid though so I'm surprised that he got it so wrong. If you think a comment like that isn't going to rile us up then think again. Not a question of being over-sensitive at all.

I don't care if he's a Cardiff fan or not providing his contributions are good - generally they are imo.

Like I've said I actually agree with much of casual's posts and banning is out of the question as far as I'm concerned. There are other foul-mouthed pricks who call themselves Jacks on here (but don't even go to home games) that I would ban given the chance. Thankfully, the ignore button still works fine. To those of you who dislike other posters I can highly recommend it. <ok>

I agree, it was poorly written if he did actually mean what he wrote later to clear it up. Live and learn with any luck <ok>

He's been outed end of. I can't believe the cheek on him trying to worm his way out of it. He should be a politician he's got so much spin and I've no time for the sob story he's been giving us in this thread.

At least with John Hughs what you see is what you get and there's no deceit involved. I reckon it's really Swamp.
