From start to finish it was penalties that ended it for team GB! Mistake by Pearce to let Ramsey take them, when he new that he had an ice cool penalty taker in Sinclair on the field, and then taking Sinclair off, was a mistake too, but it was a good run fair play to the team, what say you Mabon!.......
Had no interest whatsoever in watching any of their games so can't comment on it to be honest with you Dragon, now its time to put this Team GB/England under 23 bull**** to bed hopefully forever never to be seen on a football field again. What i am looking forward to is participating in threads with my fellow Jacks discussing Wales's forthcoming World Cup qualifying campaign and the chance to get to Rio in 2014, my views on this sideshow are well documented and remain the same as they always have and i applaud the FAW,SFA and IFA for their unflinching stance on this issue from day 1. Cymru am Byth
Don't you mean "Wales's forthcoming and as always disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign"? If you think Coleman is the answer then I would disagree based on what I've seen so far. Glad to have our lads back to the Swans but it was good to see Welsh players have a modicum of success on the international stage. Large crowds and a massive worldwide TV audience. Probably the only chance they'll get. Roll on Brazil and another Team GB! I expect you would shun the Welsh cyclist and the rower who both got gold for Team GB. Oh and let's stop Dai Greene from crossing the Severn Bridge if he does well.
knackered coleman is the welsh manager and will have my total support as well as the players who will wear the red shirt of Wales. He has been in charge for 1 game and based on that you think we are going to fail, lets hope that the swans beat QPR or we will be looking for a new manager then.
I didn't say Coleman should be sacked did I? From what I've seen there's little evidence of a desire to play the passing game that Speed brought to the squad, and bringing in Kit Symons to replace the Dutch guy doesn't fill me with confidence either and smacks of a 'jobs for the boys' mentality. Hope I'm proved wrong but I can only see another campaign of abject failure. As always.
Wales is a squad of two distinctive parts. The Swansea contingent that is ever comfortable on ball, work well together, and the Barca way .... Then there's everybody else that don't, can't get it and don't play it for their club. How do you bridge and merge those two distinct groups. Coleman's job is not easy. On the one hand over the next five years the likes of Ash, Taylor, Allen are going likely to be joined by Jazz, then Ben Davies and Gwiron Edwards. Perhaps we will see a starting team in the main of Swans and ex-Swans - it will be stronger and easier to prepare and manage.
All the welsh players did their part in team GB and that would not have happened if it was not that the whole team played their part. stuart made in hind sight a couple of errors in my view but he has come out of this with credit, cant wait for the next time we get to see a British team as the players want it and the size of the support says the fans want it so lets see if the swans can produce another batch of players to represent wales in the British team......well played to everyone concerned...
Stuart? Dai there won't be another one. Stuart says they have to qualify next time and there is no time in the calendar for it It would appear that all the headlines are concentrated on the athletics track as they should be
Yes I'm negative, Terror. But here's the shock: it's justified. Can you give me a reason to be positive about our qualification chances based on history? Thought not. Oh, and well said, Dai. You're right for once. Good to see you're on first name terms with the manager too.
yes team GB (football )is here to stay now and rightly so, It is a sport and a well supported sport and as the next tournament is in Brazil who have been one of the best football nations of all time then we will definately be there....we would not dare miss it......
Dai the only reason there was one for this is because 1 it was a one off and secondly the english had to have the welsh scottish and irish fa to ok it , they will not ok it a second time, so no it is not here any longer than this olympics. dai read what stuart had to say about another one,
The point is everybody thinks they are justified when they make a criticism and it's everybody's right to do so. You've been telling everybody else not to be negative for the last few days and here you are doing the same. Do you have to try and tell other people what to say and think? Can't you just be happy with your right to free speech and respect the same right for others? Re: Wales **** history it's always about the present and I think we've got a good crop of youngsters who stand a chance...which is why I took exception to team GB jeopardising those chances. Another question; Would you rather dissolve the Welsh F.A. and have a team GB?
team GB wont make a blind difference how wales does and team GB will be in Brazil in 4 years time as the players want it and as we have witnessed the fans want it. It is not as if we have not had a team GB before as we have. they have reintroduced it that's all....
