The simple fact is a lot of people on here have commented on Dickson's performance yesterday with regards to MOTM contenders. And this isn't the first time either - for the past few games on 606, since Dickson has had this run in the team, people have been praising Dickson. Even Adkins gave him very high praise recently. Clearly you disagree with this SaintsFan4Life, but please don't make out like you're absoloutely in the right or anything. It's only your opinion. As I say, it's opinion that's not exactly shared on this thread. Being up for player of the season is irrelevant - of course someone who hasn't featured on a regular basis wont be up for the award. And besides, that too is completely based on opinion (And moreover, who has even come up with the list?). I have made it perfectly clear that I don't like Harding, and the reason is because he cannot defend. But regardless of Harding's ability, good or bad, that doesn't mean that Dickson must be the opposite. You think Harding is ok, that's your choice. But it doesn't mean Dickson has played badly when he's been given a go. Are you now going to tell us that Richardson, Bart, Schneiderlin etc are all not good enough as well, because they too haven't been massive/certain regulars? My bias against Harding is one thing. Your bias for Harding is another!
I think that you criticising me for Bias for Harding, is out of order considering your bias Against Harding. Your being a bit of a hypocrite. The list was made by the Daily Echo, in great detail in todays The Pink. I don't think i'm right in anything, compeltely the opposite, I'm using evidence to back up my point, which I am quite entitled to do. I'm not saying Dickson has played badly, I just don't think he's as good as people make out. My opinion. And no, I think Richardson, bart and Schneiderlin are all quality players, so don't make assumptions on me thanks/
My bias against Harding is only that. Dickson doesn't come into the equation for me. But with you, I'm getting the impression that you are so pro-Harding, that anyone who plays instead of him isn't good enough. I see absoloutely no reason why you should be getting on Dickson's back after his recent performances. Like I say, support Harding if you that is your choice, but it doesn't mean Dickson is a bad player. As for evidence, I have quite openly given examples of Harding's defensive errors. I fail to see how anyone can watch Rochdale's first goal on Tuesday for example, and defend Dan. But regardless, that is a completely different issue as I say. The issue here is Dickson, and I think he's done fine. The fact that he's not got in ahead of Harding on a regular basis shouldn't come into it.
I'm not saying Dickson isn't a bad player, he's a good back-up. I just think Harding is a better player personally, and yes, Harding makes mistakes, I'm not saying he doesn't. Harding really has improved this year, and the criticism he gets really annoys me. Yes, Dickson has admittedly done well, however I don't think he's as good as people make out.
im with st_brendy on this, he could score a hat-trick and you would still find and error to slate him for.
I'm not slating him, I just think Harding is the btter player and that Dickson is the back-up, yes Dickson has admittedly had a good game or 2 but I think the praise for him is over the top
we just admire his contribution when he has been in the team, Dickson must have about 4 or 5 assists this season.
Now that sort of response, I've got no problem with. It's your opinion, and I've obviously got no problem with you having it. But at the same time, you do concede that Dickson has done well recently - suggesting he hasn't done well recently was basically the only issue I was having here.
I never said he hadn't done well recently, I just said I didn't think he was quality and that his praise is OTT. I never said he was rubbish recently.

this is ridiculous, just because I spent last night defending a player who I feel gets undeserved criticism from the fans
IMO... Harding has been great this season and shows as has been named in team of the year, however since Dickson has made a comeback ... Ryan has also been a great impact of late. Members... Not everyone will agree with everyones opinions, share your views but done bicker about it lads as this can ruin a good thread. You have agree to disagree...let's just it civil and friendly.
Exuse me, find facts before you acuse. If you are all interested i would just like to say that SF4L is a good friend of mine. I sit next to him at the games and we always have debates over Dickson and Harding. The truth has been revealed.
