Pre season friendlies are for experimenting. I'm sure RDM will have digested the things that weren't right, and eliminate them when the serious stuff begins! One thing we all know is that as CL champs we will be the scalp everyone wants!
Hm. to lose 3-1 against lowly Brighton with a very strong Chelsea team seems to suggest that there are quite a few things wrong. Lose, by all means, but to let them make you look like monkeys three times has got to be extremely disconcerting. My fear is that your mad Russian oligarch owner will have watched that game, and immediately afterwards completed RDM's P45 to carry around in his top pocket. I really do fear for him, as you know.

A few years ago we had a blinding pre season which ended with us beating Roma 5 nil...8 league games later we had 2 pts and a new manager!
Cheers mate! Don't know how to explain it very well but it can mean the opposite of a hard bastard Yeah, pre-season is for fitness and team blending. We've got a lot of new lads in our squad so we can't expect them to gel together suddenly, got to give them time. Don't think any of the top teams have had stunning pre seasons tbh!
