    Outstanding Player.

Would be a great signing for you.

Lightening quick, immensely strong, very calm.

An almost identikit physical specimen of the modern defender

What happened to the gentlemans agreement between rodgers and Swansea, where he said he wouldn't sign any swansea players?

You Swans blame us for every bit of speculation and the baseless stories in the rags regarding your players,if you actually read the 'story'(daily fail)the 'journos' name is Sports Mail Reporter.

Have we actually signed any Swansea players?

Hence the term 'would' in response to the previous post that stated "if there is any truth". Calm down, calm down!

It happens with all clubs in the premier league mate. We lost Torres, Benayoun & Meireles to Chelsea, Arsenal have lost everything but the tea lady to Man City... It's dog eat dog in the premier league, don't expect loyalty in the premier league because it doesn't exist... how many players outside of Man Utd & Liverpool have been 1 club players?

Off the top of my head I can think of John Terry &, Tony Hibbert

Swansea fans(on here at least)have a small club mentality, it's common practice for managers to take their backroom staff to there new club and buy players they know and trust from their former club's.

Well the way your harping on about it like an injured puppy I thought i'd throw you a bone of sympathy. Look at management behaviour in this league... in fact, this behaviour even happens in lower leagues but your head is stuck up your arse so much your cheeks are covering your eyes!

Paul Lambert took Jamier Cureton, David Fox & Marc Tierney to Norwich from Colchester leaving them with ****ing dirty great gaping holes in their first XI

Even the heavenly Swansea City aren't exactly innocent of this behaviour, Kenny Jackett took Gary Fisken with him from Watford but hey don't let a simple thing like hypocrisy cloud your sight!

    Yet more patronising.
We know this already, happened to us with Martinez....he took far more staff with him, even the physio.

This is why Rodgers wasn't allowed to bring many staff to the club, because when he left they'd all follow.
I think he was allowed about 3 appointments. The club appoints all the strategically important (long term) staff, leaving new managers only the assistant manager's position and a couple of specialist roles in which to appoint their cronies.

Pascoe was a coach here already and was promoted to assistant when Rodgers came in.
    Rodgers had a few flaws.
    1) no plan 'B'
    2) very poor substitutions / tactical adjustments (the joke down here was "why the **** is he asking Pascoe? He knows **** all" every time the 2 whispered in each others ear before making the wrong substitution.....and we should know as he is a local boy who was at Swansea way before Rodgers was appointed)
    3) talking utter ****e....which grates after a while

Also one of his strengths for us, his contacts, might turn out to be a weakness for you (can he sign a top class player he hasn't worked with before......if he has to resort to waving money in players' faces you might end up with a few more Downing's and Carroll's.

We are not bitter, these are criticisms he faced while he was here.
He is not the messiah, just a very naughty boy.

P.S. The players you ate talking about have a longer history with Swansea City and Martinez/Jones than Brendan, you overestimate Brendan's pull. If Martinez ever got sacked and came back I believe hardly any of our long serving players could be tempted away as the family would be complete again (Martinez played for us in the game that could have seen us go out of existence against Hull) and it is Martinez that Swans fans are actually bitter about as his departure was like a family member selling you out.....runs much deeper.
Rodgers is an over rated dud, as you are soon to find out. The media have built him up and they will knock him down.

Jose Mourinho did the same to Porto after he joined Chelsea. Yet if we sign a Swansea player you will get some Chelsea or Spurs fans saying we are a disgrace for raiding Rodgers' former club.

Unforunately i completely agree with this. And having watched all the pre season games I believe BR is well and truly out of his depth. I pray I am wrong but we were torn apart by gomel and we did not have that many players missing who are not probably going to leave. Would BR also try looking outside of the clubs he has managed please as well.

Problem with Brendan is he is so tactically rigid that once you are found out there is a massive problem staring you in the face. Look at the Swans Everton game last season, Moyes showed to be the more tactically astute manager and we were completely stifled. If you're playing carbon copy - and you almost definitely are - people are going to wise up to his style of football.

Fortunately Rogers is young and will learn. If it is a issue we can bring in an advisor/ DoF.
