feeling good, dont take a lot to lift my spirits these days and it could be the nice weather but, I feel very chipper.

The WBA game was a right downer for me and maybe I'm just looking for something, anything to lift me. I know, could be clutching at straws, head in the sand, all those things.

I dont want Bruce to go, dont want to look beyond next Saturday, dont want any bad thoughts, jsut want to look forward to a win.

No boat rocking, no fault finding, no scape goats just a good feeling that from this we will move on stronger.

Before anyone says, yes but what if????

Can I worry about that if and when please.

the way it's looking, W Ham and Blackpool are certainties for the drop, with Wolves favourites to join them. W Ham's run in is horrendous and Blackpool have been eventually found out, If we avoid defeat v Wigan that'll keep the 5 point gap with only 4 games left. Birmingham also have a horrendous run in and actually could drop back below us if they lose to Chesea by 2 or 3 on Wednesday. Blackburn are on as bad a run as we've been on and are 3 points worse off. We could be above W Brom Stoke and Fulham even with a draw on Saturday so H'way Lads let's keep the faith and be the 12th man on Saturday and roar our way to 3 points.

Just beat Wigan. That is all there is to say. Lose that and I will have lost faith in Bruce. That would be one point in 30 and that solitary point was a bit of a lucky one against the Arse, who had a perfectly good goal disallowed. Effectively nothing in 10 straight games is no good in a 38-game season. That's a quarter of the season for ****'s sake!

no you're not sid, there's 1 point separating a handfull of teams, a top 10 finish is very achievable for us which despite our alarming slump, is progress imo

After last weeks defeat I said I had run out of lucky knickers. This week with new ones bought I went out food shopping and saw 2 magpies. Fantastic!! I thought we are bound to win now. On the way back from shopping I saw 2 more magpies. The day could not get any better. Right I thought don't listen to match commentry incase I jinx it. I never know whether to listen to Gary or Benno anyway as both of them are now unlucky. So I sat with no tele, no radio nothing and was sure when at 5 o'clock I switched the tele on we would have won.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR OUR LUCK TO CHANGE......????

People may well resent my view its your choice, i love my team but cannot see progression with Bruce at the helm, so for me i hope we don't win, i hope in our last few games we get i win and a draw, enough to keep us in the premiership, but not enough to save Bruce from the axe, look back at his credentials, we had the same last year with a bad streak, he has been found out and wanting, we have enough quality in the team not to go down, but i really don't want another season with this guy at the helm.

We have every thing in place here to make us a strong top 10 outfit, except a manager with street cred, and the ability to propel us forward, so attack at will, but my opinion wont change. the faster he is gone the better.

Sorry roger I’m not going to attack you, you’ve got it spot on mate.

Syd, pissing down most of the weekend in NZ….. my team lost AGAIN at the weekend (might of played better but did not win) and I lay the blame at the door of the manager. I think we will stay up but only because there are other teams more **** than us. I love your optimism but cannot subscribe to it. Under Bruce we may have moved away from being a yoyo club and become a “**** that was a close call club” at the end of the season…… not good enough in my opinion, I want more, I've been promised more......lets have it.

Got to disagree with you Rog. Never want to see Sunderland do anything but win. I want us to win all of our remaining matches. Also, as I have said elsewhere, I would prefer Bruce to go at the end of the season, irrespective of where we finish. This bad run, and the one last year, tell me that he is not a manager who can sustain a successful side.

Finally, sorry to upset Syd and the others but, yes, I think you are deluded to think we will finish top ten. This side is not as good as you think it is. I honestly believe we will be very lucky to stay up. I do hope that I've got this totally wrong.

Thanks for the support lads, i feel if we lose the next one then Bruce will have to do the honorable thing, i would have thought there would be something in his contract about final position, Shorts not stupid, the renewed contract would have been to show support but not for crap.

There a 3 or 4 top managers around looking for work so the sooner the better for me, that gives the new guy 5 games and time to work with the team to decide his priorities for next season, its no good shopping at Harrods if your incapable of reading the instructions.

With Rog on this one. This season has been no better than last. I want us to stay up but we deserve no better than 17th place after this run.

Ditto lads, I think Bruce has lost the fans and the damage has been done. We need a manager to unite the fans and dare I say it "build it and they will come" starting with a new manager that will fill the SOL.

No resentment from me, just a surprise that many seem to be missing my point. What is far more important to me than us fans, the players or the manager is the club, my club, the one that was here before me and the one I want to last long after me and for that reason I am focused on one thing this week, Saturdays game.

I want my club to be winners on Saturday, winners the week after and to finish in the top ten and last Saturday I saw hope, thats why I feel good and after the depression of the past weeks boy how I want to grab anything that wil make me feel good.

Now Bruce and his future, my question is not about Bruce but about Quinn and Short, do you trust them, I do. Now if like me you do and you believe they have the best intrest of the club at heart, you need to trust them. Whatever happens over the coming weeks do you not think they have had the same thoughts and doubts that we have. They will ask the questions and they will decide, Short showed with Keane that he will ask the questions and demand answers and Quinn is Mr Nice guy but he is not Mr Soft guy.

This week I want my team to win and I want my team to finish high in the EPL so that the manager, whoever it is, will attract the best players in the summer.

    And I still feel good.

    im disagreeing with rog,
never want us to get beat,
bruce is picking the same players we would,
it's them ****ers who are underperforming,
reality is, the players are not good enough, ok bruce bought them, and can be judged on that,
but it's their duty to do it on the pitch, so it same players can miraculosy do it for a new manager, i'd be questioning the players.
