I bet she did. Average girls can look 10´s with make up on though. The problem is when you spend a night with a girl like that and then wake up in the morning, see her face and begin to think you have a real bad drinking problem.
Super Sunday today. Ohuruogu in the 400m, Sailing and tennis medals guaranteed plus more from the velodrome!
Seriously, reading the last four pages of this thread has made me a feminist. Lets get back to sport. Hope Ben Ainslie gets his gold, I really dislike this Danish guy. Fortunately, nobody is better than big Ben when it comes to match racing and generally being competitive to the point of bad sportsmanship.
Sailing is an aggressive sport...remember in Beijing where the only guy that could take the gold off Ainslie was pushed right out of the race by Ben. Everyone else was racing and Ainslie and his rival were way off course. Not sure if it was Ainslie or not, but some years ago one GB sailor was pushed too early over the start line by more experienced sailors. Guaranteed two silvers for Murray but he has to play his two events consecutively...feel sorry for his partner in the doubles as it will reduce the chance of a gold there.
That must have been the best night's sport ever witnessed by the British public. Looking forward to the second week of the Olympics and hoping Team GB can get to 20 golds and an overall medal haul in the 50s. Incidentally did I hear correctly that the Government are proposing to cut the spending on sport? The PM has just got to be crazy if he sanctions this. What we need is more spending on sport to develop the next generation of vast talent we have in the UK!!
I wouldn't write Murray off totally. In the Mixed doubles his opponents are good, but not invincible. In the singles though, I think Murray has a chance. Yes he's never beaten Federer over five sets, but records are there to be broken. He also had Federer very scared in the Wimbledon final, and if there hadn't been that rain break who knows how it would have ended. I think at the moment you can argue Murray is playing some of the best tennis of his career (although, you could also say the same for Federer, which is truly amazing).
Be very disappointed if we don't hit 20 now.l Good chances in sailing, cycling, showjumping, tennis etc etc.
I find all the winning by GB of medals of any colour absolutely stunning. Of course, if they were all Bronze or Silver I would be suitably less stunned. I remember when GB would come out of the Olympics with 4 Golds, or even 1 Gold, if I recall correctly, wondering why relatively small populations like Australia always did better. But all this double-figures stuff of recent years leaves me gasping. We know it's funding that has done it, and it has always been funding, or the lack of it, that has limited the success of the Olympic team against other better funded teams. No country unearths an entire team of freaky people who are bigger, stronger, faster, with no apparent effort, and I'm happy that at long last, British Sport seems to shaken off that... it's not about the winning, it's the taking part that counts.. attitude. Because, no, it is about the winning.
