Danny's penalty failure will be forever remembered as the last ever kick of a football by a GB player. No hard feelings though <laugh>

Doubt he'll be match fit with the little game time he had.

Don't know so much. I think the British Football team might come back in Rio 2016. I think it has been good for UK football.

That's a bit risky considering the opposition.

Big question marks over qualification though. Anyway who cares about football tonight.

That'll be difficult as teams have to qualify, based on Euro U'21 tournament. How will that work?

You should have watched the Athletics tonight! Absolutely brilliant performances by all athletes with Ennis, Rutherfod and Farah the cream of the crop. Whilst the Millennium Stadium may have been a funeral parlour, the Olympic Stadium was a cauldron of noise and passion.

Quarter finals are our level. To be fair, they did all right considering. No keeper would have saved those Korean pens, they were all brilliant.

    Delighted that "GB" lost.

When you see the sacrifice, effort and emotion that so many British competitors put into the Olympics and how its the the absolute pinnacle of their career... to have professional footballers hanging around using it as nothing much more than pre-season training, left a bad taste in my mouth.

In fact, thought it was almost tasteless to cut to the penalty shootout after seeing the utter magnificent achievements by the Rowers, Cyclists & Athletes today.

I adore football, but its got no place in the Olympics.

Oh and as I've always thought... Stuart Pearce is an awful manager.
