I know this is a while ago but I felt the need to comment on this, the reason Suarez is booed, while partly due to him being racist (whether his or isn't is irrelevant to my point) but also because he's completely arrogant and his utterly disrespectful behaviour after making apparently the 'save of the tournament' in the 2010 World Cup. I personally had a strong dislike for Suarez even before this racism thing, and I'm sure plenty of other people felt the same.

what about Young and Drogba's diving? Do they get booed at every ground. After all a handball on the line is essentially the same as a dive to win a penalty, at least Ghana got compensated with a penalty.

Thierry Henry cost Ireland. He isn't condemned in the slightest. He got away with it and went on to profit with a goal without being punished. Suarez kept his team in the match and Ghana missed the penalty and chance to win. I would hope Gerrard would do the exact same thing if the same chance occurred, people are only annoyed at Suarez, as they got behind the only remaining African team in an African world cup.
