Yea, really hoping Murray wins the tennis tomorrow. That will be awesome, roast dinner and a bottle of red in order....
Not if you get away with it...like Jack-the-ripper! Seriously, though, she has good abs. Good luck to her in the 800m, tonight. Interestingly, if she gets close to her PB, she'll not only win gold but break her previous best points haul and post around the 5/6th best women's heptathalon points tally ever. Go Jess! Good luck to Murray, too, tomorrow. He did fantastic beating Djokovich, and has the advantage over Federer, IMO. They are tied in wins against each other, neither have won gold at the Olympics, and Federer had the longest match against Del Potra. If ever Murray had a chance to beat Federer in a final it'll be tomorrow. Would be great psychologically for him to redeem himself for Wimbledon, and would give him an almost unparalleled platform to push on from for future success. Go, minty boy, go! Olympics
I never thought I would be this glued to the Olympics, and so proud to! Swim, I shared your concern at the start too. But look at the difference day by day compared to Beijing, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19125271 Is the format pretty much the same? Could see a few more yet! Think 10 Golds at this stage for a country our size is nothing short of astonishing...and to think we just missed out on a few more.
Cheer for the link Zingy, let's hope they can keep the wins coming. Also, haven't they got the 7 & 9 the wrong way round in Jessica's score? If that was the case she wouldn't have a c.200 point lead but lead Skopje(sp?) by only ~10-pts?
Considering what I said about being glued to the Olympics...I missed all of Jessica's events today so I can't comment. Was hungover at my mates house...I saw the rowing golds though...and the silver, so close! Anyone see one of the American rowers on the podium? He seemed pretty excited by his medal with those tight pants on.
Favourites Brazil also losing 1-0 to Honduras. If we (GB) win tonight, we can start to believe we can go for Gold/Silver.
Brazil are losing 1-0 to Honduras, who also beat Spain 1-0 in the group. Winner of that game play the winner of the GB game in the semi's. Honduras now down to 10 men though...
Think I will watch the football on the website and have the track stuff on TV. Jessica Ennis is a must see event.
My satellite went for about 5 minutes due to the **** whether, didn't see whether it was a penalty or not. Anyone care to enlighten me? Edit - another pen lol :L
