Says a hell of a lot about the demise of a great club (i consider it to be one of the top clubs in the world) like Liverpool then if they are signing/failing/trying past and present players of a club with only 1 season under their belt in the PL and still managed to play you off the pitch twice last season

The O.P. needs to get out more often. By popping onto the Swansea Forum he would see that the "obsession" clearly lies with Liverpool posters,some of whom have taken up residence,and are now having to pay Community Charge to Swansea City Council. He is clearly miffed that his Club have the need to plunder the playing staff/management of Swansea City,a team that cost less to put together than the Agents fees that Liverpool paid out last season. Rodgers knows the only way forward for his new charges is to ape The Swans',and who can blame him. Being so far behind Man.City and Man. Utd. desperate measures were needed,that's why the owners have turned to Swansea City for their salvation.
Vetch, It's common practice for managers to bring their coaching staff and players they trust/want from their previous club. Rodgers will soon get a wake up call from our support that it is better to "ape" Barcelona than a club that finished below us last season even after our worst season in 50yrs.
You seem quite content to sign players from a team who finished below you in the league. I doubt that Man.City.;Man Utd.;Chelsea;Arsenal would go down that road. Clearly Liverpool have accepted that they are no longer a power in the game,and that they are now merely part of the chasing group. We haven't signed any Swansea players. Lescott,Hart.Milner etc-Young,Jones,Ferdinand,Rooney etc-Terry,Torres,Lampard.Sturridge etc-Benayoun,Arteta,Walcott.
