The thing I have never got, is pre-season chest thumping, as it is a total waste of time. I don't have a clue where we will finish. But every year during the 70's and 80's the mancs would come out saying "this year we will do it" and of course they never did. So yes Liverpool may be **** this season, we may get top 4, we may even win the thing, but what I do know is that the mancs are one slip away from oblivion.

Ferdinand is their Carra, legend, but past it. The difference is we have Agger, Skrtel, Coates and even Kelly, where is the famous manc strength in depth of years gone by? squeezing another year out of Scholes, because they simply don't have, and don't appear to be able to buy a replacement.

When Fergie goes, the mancs think they will have the pic of all the top managers on the planet, when in reality, they will have to take Dave Moyes, as they will need someone who can work with very little money.

 

nah hes just smarter than the average scouser. hes spot on and last season I recall him being one of the few who saw liverpools problems rather than just blindly act like it was a blip.

if more of you were like that a billion less football fans would consider Liverpool a joke.

we will finish 2nd at worst. miles ahead of 3rd and at least 20 points ahead of Liverpool.

imo we will win the league, comfortably in the end with city going for the CL and failing big time.

Heed your own advice, and get a grip on reality. Like everyone else, you don't have a clue of how the season will pan out, You don't know how your new signings will pan out, you may get injuries to one of your 3 key players, and you may end up with 43 points.

If we are talking about unrealistic wish lists, I hope Fergie does a Cloughie and looses it big time, really hits the bottle and shakes in the dug-out, makes unrealistic demands on his squad, who fade into non-existence and finish 14th. Oh and Charlie Adam tackles Vidic, Scholes and Rooney, and all 3 are out until May, at which point you are on 26 points and circling the drain.

 

Man Utd have only finished outside the top 2 on 3 occasions (I think) since the premier league began. Its one of the safest predictions to make that Man Utd will be in the top 2 and challenging for the title! Certainly until Ferguson ****s off.

Recent history always gives us a good idea of how things will pan out. It isn't guaranteed but we always know which players will be around the top goalscorer table at the end of the season and which teams will be in, or at the very least challenging for the top 4.

 

I can fully understand you having such a wishlist.
If it all came true LFC would have a faint chance of finishing above Utd.
