Expected to be the next signing. Good player. Then hopefully the signing that really should give us a real chance for autos - Bellamy. I havent a clue what our starting line up is going to be v Huddersfield.
Hilts, with all the new signings the FA have given us special permission to play with 15, im sure we can accommodate everyone then with a 7/8 man midfield
Still need defensive cover especially at full back should. I'm not convinced about Smith so will wait and see what happens. Earnie or Smith - not a lot between them imo.
From Twitter Cardiff are closing in on signing free agent Richie Towell and are sending scouts to Guernsey to look at non-league sensation Ross Allen. CCFC/NEWS/2012‏@CCFCNEWS2012
these guys on a cardiff messageboard reckon it will happen hilts..... http://www.ccmb.co.uk/fudforum/index.php?t=msg&th=331146&start=0&rid=0 seems very versatile......32 years of age so i doubt there would be a fee as QPR need to shift the dead wood....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richie_Towell Wow, barely 30 games in 2 seasons for hibs and 1 for Celtic. Hope that one is bs, i'd rather a youngster get a chance. Rb or midfield, we could do with another midfielder.............
I've a feeling that Smith will be the last 'squad player' we get. Hopefully Bellamy will be the 'quality signing'. After that we're down to 2-3 'for the future'. I'd put Towell and Allen in that category. There seems a little more depth and slightly more balance to the squad now. Not perfect, but better. Top 6 again this season. How high up the 6 will be the question.
Ross Allen aged 25 Forward Leader of the line and out and out goal scorer. Always Guernsey’s go-to man in front of goal, with an amazing goals-to-games record. Nominated as the 2010 Channel Islands sports personality of the year. The match winner on many a day. Finished top scorer for the England Amateur team in the UEFA Regions Cup in Croatia, and also was top scorer in Guernsey's FA NLS cup success which sealed their qualification to the UEFA Regions Cup. Recently returned from his 2nd International Island Games tournament, playing a key role in helping Guernsey to a Silver medal. Not sure of the detail on Allen, but we seem to be scouring the lower leagues and abroad for youngsters. Ommar Lawson from Dulwich is another that has been mentioned ( http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11704/7913825/Cardiff-eye-Dulwich-teen ) together with 3 french youngsters who were trialled while the squad were in the Switzerland. Another one or two like Mason would be nice. Saying that, we seem to have upped the ante with the youngsters we've got and there look to be a few who are showing promise. The under 21 team could be a good stepping stone for a lot of our youngsters.
Cheers DJR. Hope he's better than the Irish guy DJ signed (can't remember his name), scored on debut, never heard from again.
