    I agree.
Feel Liverpool will give him at least 18 months.

    Unless it goes spectacularly wrong.

Until Roy we've always given our managers time.

Gerrard for instance has only played under 6 managers since his first appearance in 1998 - Evans (very briefly as a teenager) Houllier, Rafa, Roy, Kenny and now Brendan. It's never been our way to sack managers readily - but recently we have obviously sacked Roy and Kenny very quickly.

For this reason I think we'll give Rodgers time.

EDIT: For comparison, Terry has played under 11 managers since 1998.

There is no way for me to prove it. There are lots of things I can't prove but that doesn't mean they're not true. Some things you just have to accept.

Can you prove that Allen hasn't accepted personal terms?

This isn't a court of law and no proof is required. He's going and that's all there is to it. If you can provide proof that he's say then I'll believe you.

What sort of wage does he receive here?

I'd expect him to get 35-40k or so at Liverpool.

Not bad work if you can get it, is it.

Brendan is doing a great job so far at liverpool and now he has joe onboard and dorus then if he can get another two ground floor passers then he has the nucleus of a good team....Ash is next on his list you can bet on it...Mr laudrup has had to change his plans and now is desperate for experienced players and its looking like it could be replacements for definately Joe and possibly ash and sinclair...all three in the GB team are expected to move on....

I think Allen is now a definite, which would be a good move for us.

I'd only want Sinclair as a bench player to replace Kuyt/Maxi/Bellamy along with Dempsey, who again looks like it's a matter of time with.

Can't see why Williams would be coming to us, maybe Newcastle but it's all just gossip.

Taylor is the most improved player since to took him off wrexham, he has everything going for him as he is young and a cracking player, He would not look out of place Liverpool or an Arsenal side and it wont surprise me to see brendan coming in for him.....he would be a better prospect than sinclair for any team....sinclair has had fulham interested in him but to me that is not a bigger club and we dont have to sell him, he unfortunately dont have any power to move as you have to be a bigger club. Sinclair has a short time to sign a new contract now or he could find himself losing out on a pay rise....

I've no doubt that Taylor has potential, but I wouldn't want him at Liverpool - Enrique is a great player (who needs to snap out of his current form) and Robinson could be the next England left back in a few years.

Why is it some of our posters delight in spreading unfounded rumours that are all doom and gloom?

Attention seeking. That's what it is.

How is "Brendan doing a great job at Liverpool?" Must have missed that one. Did they draw v Spurs in a friendly and were pretty ordinary? Not sure, just repeating what was in the media. Just scraped a lucky win (again, according to the press) against average opposition in the Europa with their manager saying it'll take time to get them playing like the Swans. Wow.

As we're still talking about another club, "Unless it goes spectacularly wrong." That's my point. Kenny D was a Liverpool legend and wasn't cut that much slack. The way Roy H was hounded out was very wrong. American owners aren't renowned for their patience are they? Hence my prediction. We'll see.

September 23rd Liverpool play Man Utd at Anfield.

If the players are not on the same page as what Rodgers wants, they get a poor start to the season and they get mullered at home to that lot then somehow I can't see the owners or the fans having it.

Could be an early exit if that were to happen.

Don't see how any of that's really bad... Pre-season is worth nothing in terms of judging a manager. The game last night was away, with most players playing for the first time, still unfit, against a big, physical and very very motivated side.

Good run out for the players returning from the Euros if anything. We won, who cares now.

Seriously, it may have looked from the outside that Roy was 'hounded' out, but he was terrible. He was brought in because the owners knew he wouldn't resist them asset stripping the club. His signings were poor (bar Miereles). His tactics were DREADFUL. We were in relegation form, their was no connection with fans, it was truly depressing to watch. Can't describe how bad he was for us.

He won't be turfed out over one game against our biggest rival.

We won't be happy but we're patient. The owners wouldn't have brought him in instead of an older manager if they weren't backing the 'project'.

It's all 'could'... It won't happen. I can see why you 'want' it to happen, a little schadenfreude is very understandable... But it won't.

Dai, you`re spot on again Taylor & Ash to Newcastle, you heard it here first from Dai. Rumours are gathering pace that Rangel is off to Everton, Dyer back to Southampton. Possibly Vorm going to San Diego Chargers & Graham back to Watford. Leon is going to try & ressurect Sheff. Utd. back to the big time & most surprisingly of all, ML is going to manage an Aussie rules team.

    Rumours Eh, who`d have `em. ,,,,,,, ,,,,,,, .............

Talking of Liverpool i have to say that I'm sick of hearing about the Olympics.
If I wanted to see a bunch of knobs that haven't worked for 4 years parading in tracksuits I'd move to Liverpool.
