It's going to be tough this season, many teams are getting stronger, Cardiff have just signed Heidar Helguson from QPR and Blackburn have signed Fulham's Dickson Etuhu. The Brizzle fans seem to think they've got some big incomings too.
Yeah i just saw that on twitter, Etuhu is only 30, you'd have thought someone like Norwich/QPR/Southampton/Reading would have been after him. Helguson had an impact in the prem last season but he's getting on a bit 35 at the end of August. But yeah there have been some decent signings and worryingly Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton have kept on to most of their squad and added some decent additions. It's certainly going to be very competitive. At least the likes of Chester, Evans, Cairney, Stewart, Dudgeon have got a fair bit of championship experience behind them this season. Hasve Bristol got rich owners then? I know they made some money from selling Maynard, but I didn't think they were rolling in it?
I think it is safe to say he is worth more than the £200k you have offered. Stop carp-ing on about his lack of pace
He struggles against pacey players. But a solid defender and is good for a goal or 2. Gerrard is supposed to be a free agent now,
He's not a free agent, he's got a year to run on his deal. Otherwise Leicester wouldn't be bidding for him, obviously.
If we go for them in the loan window we can only sign them for a maximum of 93 days, even breaking the loan up into chunks we wouldn't be able to make it stretch to January unless we waited until the end of September because we'd need to save about 6 weeks of it to cover from the loan window closing til January, and each chunk has to be at least 28 days so the rest would all have to be in one go as well. How does the 25 man squad rule affect a 19 year old and a 20 year old? They'd be included on the U21s list rather than the 25 man list. In fact given King's 21st isn't until January he'll still not be affected by the rule next season.
