John Guidetti is at a crossroads: the much- talked-about Italian-Swedish striker , but owned by Manchester City, is about to make his decision. Considered ideally like the new Ibrahimovic (at his age but showed a less marked Zlatan look much better), will not continue in the Netherlands where he sparkled in the loan to Feyenoord. And it will not even Italy, if the suitor is called Lazio. Untrusted rather last minute items that give orbiting Naples .

His fate is actually much simpler: Premier League to prove to Roberto Mancini could one day stand alongside of Aguero and Balotelli. The agreement signed with the technician's Jesi before all Sunderland now finally out in the open with an offer of 2 million euro loan for the dry and another 7.5 euro for redemption at the end of the season. Clause, this, unwelcome but unavoidable to Mancini to send to port a deal considered useful by both parties.

In fact, this right of redemption remains under negotiation. The ask the Citizens at least 10 million, which means that it can be concluded to 8.5. The red and white, who took a similar position with the Danish Bentdner, know the rules of the transfer market and seem intent on blowing up the house for 1 million euros.

Beware though traffic entering / leaving the City in its offensive department: a fifth man of quality, without huge claims, could also put in Guidetti odor confirmed. Solution that bookmakers today, they would pay on a straight moderately high. He, meanwhile, on his official Twitter profile, SuperGuidetti , prefers to speak of other things waiting to learn his fate

Good deal I think, the lad looks a top player and unlike welbeck and Evans who wer class for us if and when Guidetti turns out to be as they were for us we have the option to sign him, if he flops which I doubt then we send him back.

Win, win for me, bring in an experienced striker like Saha as well as Fletcher and we will have 3 good forwards at the club, can certainly see Wickham going on loan if this deal comes off.

Im sorry but you have to put this 'alledged' deal into perspective, first and foremost, the cost including wages is very high for an unproven striker...and by unproven I am talking the Dutch league here (who with the exception of two club sides,is the equivalent of our League two) for the kind of money being mooted for this guy (providing we are gonna sign Fletcher as our target man) id be looking at someone like Peter Odemwingie, who we know can knock em in, in the EPL and would be available for around the 3 million mark.

Methinks this is our Poolie again getting excited about another foreigner with an exotic name....I wonder if if would be so excited if the guy was called Arthur Smith !!

couldn't care less, two of my favourite players and most important players at the club are Colback and McClean

I like the idea of searching for talent in other leagues as you get technically better players on a lower wage and a lower signing fee than for someone of similar quality from the prem, Sess is the perfect example at 6m. My top target for us I want to get is Fletcher at Wolves.

The dutch league aint the best but did anyone see Steve McClaren on SSN a few weeks ago showing Sky Sports around his club Twente and letting them know what they do in pre season, he said its all about playing with the ball to feet, the keepers have to play it out from the back and no hoofing it forward, technical ability and awareness is the main thing in the league and we need to add more players into our side with those attributes.

Guidetti to me looks like the all round centre forward, scores left foot, right foot, makes those runs that look pointless into the box and gets on the end of something that didn't look on, he is a big strong lad who can hold it up and has a bit of pace about him. MoN has played 4/3/3 all through pre season and this lad and Fletcher competing for the lone strikers role would be perfect IMO.

At 2m for the loan the lad is worth a season, I personally think he is going to go and be a top, top player and this time next season we will be saying what a fantastic piece of business it was.

Poolie, where did you get the article from mate. The English is shocking. At points it makes no sense. Is it translated?

I think, having watched him a bit for Feyenoord, discussed him at length with one of my best pals here who's a Feyenoord fan & watched all the (admittedly not always a true reflection) YouTube footage, that the lad could turn out to be a beast of a player.

He's big & strong, yet has a superb touch on him, he's massively confident, and he already seems to know when to pass rather than shoot, a trait often found much later on in a strikers career.

The lad is indeed very similar to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in his Ajax days (although Zlatan had a significantly lower goals per game output in the Eiridivisie, in a better side...).

We missed out on Ibra through Reidy not being prepared to take a gamble, yeah, he'd have left, but we may have seen £20million plus for the lad and not had so many yo-yo years as a result, loan to buy, perfect terms, let's hope it happens!

Poolie, I am not doubting the article mate, I read it myself on Newsnow this morning, my point is..that foreign isnt always best and whilst Guidetti has scored 20 in 22 games..I still feel that this would not manifest itself in the EPL. Infact Id hazard a guess that if you were to throw Frazier Campbell into the Dutch League he would get yer 15 - 20 a season

I think Campbell would struggle to score ten in the dutch league. It's a better league than you give it credit and Campbell isn't as good a player as you give him credit for.

Disco, we are all entitled to our opinion, but when I see sides like Venlo, Sparta, NAC Breda and Willem 11 getting the botties spanked bt Northern League and Conference sides in tournaments and pre season games...then Iam not altogether convinced about the Dutch League

Fair play mate, not saying you can't have an opinion. I'm of the opinion that Guidetti is twice the player Frazier is, though I like the lad.

    http://uk.soccerway.com/teams/netherlands/stichting-fc-twente-65/

    check yourself.

and we got beat off hartlepool, and Newcasle got spanked 6-1 off leyton orient. they dont mean anything even if they did get beat.

It's fair to say that for every van Nistelrooy or Ibra, there's 3 Kezmans, Alves, to an extent Kuyt (bought as a goalscorer...).

The lad doesn't just look a finisher though, he looks an all round footballer, even if he did only get 10-12, his skill and eye for a pass (evident throughout the YouTube ****e), mean he'd also create a few , directly or indirectly.

The lad was brought through the youth ranks in England, so he's schooled in English football, much less of a risk than someone like Luke de Jong (for example), who is an excellent player, but has played boy & man only in Holland.
