From London Metro: HOOPS' chief Tony Fernandes has today unveiled in-depth plans for his clubs proposed move to a purpose-built 30,000 all-seat venue, although the location of this development is yet to be confirmed. In an exclusive interview with the London Metro, Fernandes spoke in depth about his vision for QPR and the new facility. “As you all know, I’m very passionate about providing the highest level of football for the many fans of Queens Park Rangers FC. To me, it’s important that they can be involved and feel as much of a part of the club I own as possible. Our transfer policy is to bring big names, big characters, and world class talent here, and we want all of our followers to be able to enjoy this – this is why it is great that we can build a multi-purpose 30,000 seat treatment room”. “The new treatment room will provide state of the art equipment, and allow fans to feel at the heart of the club. They’re going to be able to come down on a Saturday, and watch some of the biggest names in football receive high-quality medical care for injuries sustained when they were in their prime”. Many Hoops’ fans are excited by the development; Paul Ost (47) of Colchester has been a QPR fan for over 3 years, and cannot wait to get to see his heroes. “I was sceptical initially, but then when I heard we might be signing Owen Hargreaves I thought, you know what, this makes a lot of sense.” Planning permission has been widely touted as a possible stumbling block for the scheme; however the project will be administered as a Private-Finance-Initiative-HealthCare-Project, run by a holding group based in the Cayman Islands and managed by Ken Bates.
The fans must be 'cock-a-hoop' at the prospect. 30,000 capacity - they're not being too ambitious then!!!! I'd just like to add - 'Thank you Delia for not accepting his offer to join the board a few years ago'
"Paul Ost (47) of Colchester has been a QPR fan for over 3 years, and cannot wait to get to see his heroes" I dont even know where to start with this........
As funny as the thread is.. Really? Another QPR thread? Some of their fans have every right to accuse some Norwich fans of being obsessed by them of I'm honest.
Hmm, QPR avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth last year. I get the feeling that the're probably going to have the last laugh and kick on this season, I may be wrong but that's what I think. All this piss-taking could well come back to bite us on the backsides. As funny as this thread is I think we should probably ignore QPR as best we can
Agreed. I would prefer it if there was no reason for their wums to come over and start with the normal boring dribble
Problem is kempy, you guys start a thread like this, then the QPR fans will come over and start giving it some it will turn into a slanging match, the normal suspects will then whinge about your board being invaded and its then down to Dave to sort out (when he probably has better things to do) and then he gets it in the neck from everybody. just my thoughts, all it does is make you look sad, obsessed and jealous?
It's not often I do this but I agree with Guru Seriously guys, the fewer opportunities or invitations we give them to come here the better for all concerned Guru - you can remove the jealous bit from the equation. Some might want to think we are but I would imagine most most certainly are not.
definately not got anything to be jealous about thai, you guys and the success you have had in the past couple of years is the blueprint that every club in our situation should look to. so if anything clubs should be jealous of you!
