Anyone starting to get a little worried with the lack of signings?

    A little.

We desperately need another striker and a CB - And I really hope that we're not going to leave it until the last minute and miss out on good players for those positions.

Signings do seem to come out of no where with us though so I'm not too concerned just yet.

Not sure if we will get a new CB now - Curtis Good's wage seems pretty high (unless of course we are flogging Willo) for the development squad

I don't know what his wages are. Maybe he's better than I expected, but I am a bit concerned about relying on a player who's played less than 30 senior games, and all of those in a poor league.

We kind of have to expect Taylor to miss a chunk of the season - And we're playing it dangerous if we rely on Williamson and Coloccini to not get injured or suspended for the entire season. Especially considering we've got extra European games to cover. Perch can play there, but he's way too weak in the air to be reliable. Obviously Pardew and co. have seen much more of Good than I have, and if they think he's good enough they're probably right, but it does make me worry.

It's pretty much the same across the whole transfer board, not much going on. Don't know if it's anything to do with Olympics, FFP or the economic climate. Certainly frustrating though.

Maybe we are waiting for the floodgates to open...could take one player to move and things start rolling.

Everyone is in the same boat. We're all waiting for each other to start off a bit of movement. I'm not really concerned and think we've added well already, but of course it is always nice to do your business as early as possible.

Teams are tightening the purse strings and as a result, teams are bargaining harder and deals are taking their time. Only a few team with fabulously wealthy and generous owners aren't affected by economic reality.

I haven't worked it out exactly, but I think we're about ten players lighter than we were last season.

It's not looking good unless we've got a whole stack of 'worldy' youth coming through...

You've got to remember that of all the players we've been linked with, only Debuchy would havebeen likely to have made it onto the pitch in August in any event. We are looking for players to be third or fourht choice at strker, mid field and central defence.

I think 31 August will be a busy day, and that we can manage til then

Abeid, Amalfitano, Bigirimana, Ferguson, Tavernier, Gosling, Marveaux, Sammy.

If 2 or 3 of the above have what it takes to step up, it won't matter that we have let go of loads of players that weren't near the first team.

So excited about Marvy, I really think he could be big next year if he stays fit. His crossing, control, passing, shooting are all so far ahead of Obertan, and he has a bit of pace too!!!
