OPEN MESSAGE TO NORTHOLT: A PM would only keep things in the dark and open to interpretation.

When you left I did all I could to change your mind until you showed irritation with my efforts. Fair enough. When you returned and out of respect for your status among posters on here, I offered you the opportunity to resume your place as mod. Again you made it clear you were not interested.

With things obviously coming to a head between the respectful and disrespectful on here right now, I make that offer again.

If you are interested, you will have my full support whether as co-mod or general poster (not fussed which).

If you are not interested, I will continue to operate according to the rules we created and do what's necessary to restore the order and integrity of this board.

As I said before, I have great respect for what you set up on here and the way it has operated since. Imo and that of a good few others, this board of ours is worth maintaining as our entertainment. We need to get away from all this personal agenda stuff and concentrate on the football and similar non-controversial topics.

To that end would you be willing to help us out by taking over again?

Good on you North after starting the **** thread yesterday but we all know that this thread will head down the same path eventually. Imaz is far to bright than needing a thread to get him back. He knows how valued he is on here, but that is not what this is about for him as far as I can see, it's down to behaviour, proper behaviour. And when the same boring repetetive **** gets thrown in his face enough is enough and I fully understand his stance. That said, I hope and believe he'll be back whan what matters start occupying our minds again.

And if we can't get what Brix stated in the final post on yesterdays thread then I suggest it should be checked out once more. The concequenses, I don't want to think about them, what a travesty it would be to lose Brix. Get it???!!!! Can we all (me included) get our **** together and ****in' behave?!

Anyone who wonders exactly what Brix feels about the current state of affairs - just read his post above. Hopefully this will stop all the ****-stirrers who mistake coming onto a messageboard and insulting strangers with being a man and/or having a life.

In Brix's signature is also a link to the Board Rules. Can I recommend everyone goes and takes a fresh look at them, and then think about the times recently that this has been ignored?

Come on, guys, let's move on from this and get on with being QPR fans?

I have witnessed the respectful being disrespectful to other posters on occasion as well as the disrespectful being disrespectful to the respectful.
I have even witnessed the respectful being disrespectful towards the respectful as i have seen a fully blown argument originate between two disrespectful posters only for them to make up and give each other respect. Brix does a **** hot job on here. Northolt posts a lot of good stuff and Swords is a ....

 

If Northolt becomea a mod again; then I'm gone and pity those of you left here.....and it wont be many !!

I don't think I have read too much of whatever is causing the problem(s) here, but I gotta say we all must be careful not to take things too seriously! There are going to be all kinds of people on here, from total nutters to people who are probably closer to being perfect human beings than Mathama Gandhi, but all of us are linked by a crazed passion for QPR. It is good to always remember this and realise that the person who selects the same formation for the away game at Southampton as you, is just as likely to be the last person you'd ever want share a a beer with, as he could be your best mate. While we are here to share and indulge our QPR obsessions, who gives a f*kk if otherwise we'd be ripping the guts out of each other.

 

If people stuck to talking football and refrained from talking crap or about personal issues there'd be no need for mods. A number of people need to look on the mirror and decide if they want to share a common love of a great club or if they just want to engage in tit for tat name calling. If it's the latter pop down your local youth club. If its the former then great let's celebrate an exciting season ahead. And please no more self indulgent threads about individual posters!

 

I've just been PM'd the explanation of Andy's joke yesterday. Staines wouldn't explain it to me yesterday and neither would Oddball.

I now know the reason: Neither of them had a fu*king clue what it meant either.

Staines, I'd love to know what you thought those two offensive posts meant because now that they've both been explained, its clear you were cooking stuff up in your head.

And I was "innocent" for not getting them!!

 

Swords, can i firstly say to you most respectfully that i am under no obligation at all to give you any explanation whatsoever as to why i might be insulted or upset by any post. You are sometimes like one of those annoying little yappy lapdogs who wont let things go and seriously brother, you gotta stop.
Now in respect for Brix, i think this matter should now be closed, dont you agree ? If you are so concerned about what i found insulting about the posts (or what i thought they were meaning) PM me and i will gladly explain. Is that ok mate ?

What joke? Is that question meant to be another one? Another round of mock innocence? We could and probably should leave it there but just in case a little of the claimed innocence is real, here goes.

Northolt posts a picture of a festive meet between one of our shareholders, and our three Muslim players on a religious occasion.

This was the first 'joke'.

This was the second 'joke'.

This was Imaz's unsurprising response to the early contents of a thread that named him in the title.

In his subsequent PM to me, Imaz explained that he has had enough of being baited by Swords. Whilst we all know that Swords had not posted on that particular thread at that time, it's pretty clear to many if not most of us, that Imaz has been singled out for attention by Swords and one or two others, for one reason only. Not his obvious broad-based knowledge or the wisdom in his posts but because he is different from the norm on here. A single 'x' within a group of 'o's.

When those 'o's turn against you - invariably invisibly at first but becoming increasingly offensive in emphasising those differences, the 'innocent' fun becomes, as Imy told me, hurtful. The scene becomes akin to a group of laughing hyena's circling in for the kill. That's in the physical world. Online the same psychology applies.

The thing is, Imaz (and I hate to keep using his name as it simply perpetuates the singling out process) has been a Ranger as long as I have. He watched the League Cup winners back in 67 and remembers the Morgan twins as fondly as I do. He comes on here and interacts in ways similar to the way I do. So why the **** should he not receive the same levels of inclusion and respect that I get?

He calls himself Imaz and I call myself Brixton. Both suggest a certain diversity and we generally speak for the same standards / ideals but one sounds a bit foreign.

Then we get a thread with a Muslim theme unnecessarily drawing further attention to Imaz by using his name in the title. Then we get a 'joke' that says another person with a foreign name (albeit Indian as opposed to Muslim) was left outside... Then we get another one that suggests American slavery talk, 'yessum boss' (characteristically misspelt). Sure, it's all disjointed and not aimed directly at the name in the title BUT can very easily be taken as a euphemism for **** off ****.

The sad thing is that Swords is probably too young, but I remember how the psychology applied above was in this country directed at Irish Catholics regardless of where people stood with regard to the troubles. Irish people were suddenly all thick and terrorist etc.

Whilst long experience of this stuff tells me we're about to hear all about the perception I've offered above being completely wrong and I'm totally out of order etc., etc..., I'm simply holding up a mirror and telling it as many of us see it.

Fact is not all Irish people were terrorist / freedom fighters back in the day, and rank oppression caused those that were to do what they felt they had to. Same for Muslims these days. We've got millions of Muslims in this country and since 9/11 there's only been two real attacks here.

Some Muslims prefer to support the Rangers to the extent of putting their money behind the club or playing for us even. How foreign and 'different' is that?

Come on guys, we're here because we're all Rs regardless of our insignificant differences. Let's stop baiting each other and have a bit of respect for each other, shall we?

 

Now are you happy Swords ?? I just wish i could of explained it as well as Brix, but thank f*** he is there to do it for me.
