Spot on Northolt. Nothing against Fulham and tbh all the years i have been following QPR we really have only met them 4-6 times. In 87/88 season i met a few Fulham fans when we played Norwich away at a station and they seemed ok and we had a great chat. I have said in many posts on the QPR board that they have done really well to get the gates upto 25K. I have also said that they are a hard team to beat. I also wanted them to win that euro final. really other than a few 'muppets' on here i don't have a problem with them. Other than being in the west of London they do not concern me or the majority of our fans. never have. Chelsea on the other hand is a different thing. What i don't like is some Chelsea (jonny come Roman) fan stiring up crap threads and see 'ar## licking' by some. As for our gates and home tickets sold? on most of the games where we get the lower school end, they left out a few rows because of the away fans on top. That's why we didn't sell out, it was all down to security. Agree a few empty seats about but they are season ticket holders who have not turned up. My mate always struggled to get a ticket last year and will be even harder next season. The problem is and will always be while we are at LR is that we are limited to 18K. Best way to settle the argument is if we both had the same size stadium. As for Chelsea , i think we all know about that club/players/owner and fans, and whatever we discuss with Fulham, lets all hope we never end up like that.
ELLERS, as has been said countless times before (which you've failed to address every single time) is that this was a perfectly legitimate thread that sparked a good debate. It only descended into 'stirring' when you and your mate popped up. Ultimately, if you don't like what you read, then you can always stick to your own board - by and large, that's what I do and that works just fine for me. Other than that I appreciate what was otherwise a post worthy of the way this thread started
ELLERS I brought up the point of you hating Fulham due to your 'signature' which seems rather pathetic not to add incredibly doubtful.
That was my tweet Bandy Baby(true story )! And for more gems just like it, follow by clicking my sig!
See our 'going global' thread, **** me we've even got a shop in Dubai now! http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/153500-QPR-going-global!
No room for them mate, that's why they're planning the 'Hooper bowl', we are changing that's for sure!
It was me that originally posted these stats, QPR. And you are correct, they were based on the 'theoretical' maximum. I accept this was taking a liberty and won't disrespect you by attempting to justify that in the context of the posts in this thread. Here is a link showing % attendance against approved capacity - http://www.soccerstats.com/attendance.asp?league=england As you say the margins are closer on this criteria and I apologise to you (and the QPR community at large) for any offense.
I just can't bring myself to follow you on Twitter. Although with over 1000 followers I doubt you would appreciate one more
I was just looking at the front page of Not606 and saw that the fans of QPR have posted 10 times as many posts as we have: 150k to our 15k. For a moment, I was quite disappointed in our fans, but then I realized that we all have jobs.
Some other info Northolt. QPR has over 105K on its facebook page and has hit an all time high 'trending' on twitter. And as for not being known in the US, i think the QPR REPORT site would have something to say about that, as its from the US and i believe we do have a good following there as we do in Australia and Scandinavia? Plus 3 Million tuned into the friendly game via the internet.
I went to Scandinavia four times last year and believe me, the football fans I met had not heard of you, whether or not it is different now remains another matter. Fulham on the other hand, thanks to Mr Roy Hodgson have quite a following over in both Norway and Finland Haven't been to Sweden so can't say what their stance on QPR is. DR, I'm currently a student so don't have a job (typical) but I do have a Master's degree. Have I mentioned that?
Well done Northolt! obviously Bandits trips to Scandinavia must have been in some small outpost? I love it when people come up with these inaccurate posts!
Oh HOLT I could find you an English website on any obscure subject, doesn't mean the topic is well known in that country. To quote Big Bang Theory, "Oh, they've got a website? It's not like they will let you make a website on anything!" And to answer your next question, I didn't ask the entire population of the countries visited if they had heard of QPR, just a small crowd, and those had not. I can give you the addresses I stayed at if you're having trouble believing me?
That website has......wait for it......Total members = 81. I mean, you're basically as well known as Man Utd
