    Precisely. It's your opinion only.

I am happy that we may be signing him, but will wait to see what he can do for us before hyping him up.

He is NOT World class at the moment. He is a bit part in the Spanish squad. I believe that he will be a very good signing, but your opinions on a player does not mean that it is a fact. When you state that 'I can confirm he is a world class player', it means absolutely nothing. It is your opinion.

Anyway, let's hope he signs and let's hope he does very well.

If Henry couldn't get into a national side ahead of a prime Pele, Eusebio and the Brazilian Ronaldo, would you say that he wasn't world class? The Spanish midfield at the moment is the strongest in terms of depth and quality that any team has had in all time. And I'm not their biggest fan.

I have proven time and time again that my opinion is always correct.

It seems that we have a similar case with Cazorla that we do with Koscielny. People just don't seem to rate him for some reason, despite consistent, world class performances.

As with the point that rannaramshere has made, he is right, look at the strength of the Spanish team, just because he can't get a guaranteed starting XI spot, does not mean he isn't world class. As I have stated, Cazorla is the best player out side of the top 2 in La Liga. I am never one to get ahead of my self in regards to player potential and ability, but this signing is very high up there with the Hazard's to Chelsea, and the Ibrahimovic's to PSG.

Some people(myself for example)don't rate Koscielney highly as a centreback because we have conceded far too many goals when he is on the pitch. IT'S that simple - the stats dont support the claim the Kos is a top class defender.

He has some GREAT attributes but they don't make up for his lack of strength, poor heading ability and positioning.

However The Spaniard is a different scenario ...The reason some people don't rate Carzorla is just that he isn't a big name over here and not that many EPL fans have been watching Malaga.
But I agree he IS absolutely top class.

Was also checking some of Cazorla's stats and to get 45 caps for Spain as an attacking player in this current generation is pretty damn impressive.

I think the point I am trying to make is that Cazorla is in a different (higher) class to Hazard and Mata. This guy has been there done that, not just a wannabe. Let's be clear, he has almost 3x more appearances for Spain than Parker has for England and more than Mata and Arteta put together, and almost the same number as Fabregas. He has been absolutely instrumental in making Malaga and Villarreal CL teams.

This guy is every bit in the class of Goetz or Silva. In Spain he is absolutely in the elite player class of Ronaldo, Xavi and Messi, and would be considered a marquee signing for any club in the world.

C'mon. Really? I don't think there are any players from any other countries that would get into Spain's midfield. Mata doesn't, and look how good he was last season.

Cazorla is a brilliant signing. I think that your current squad would have a season where they fought four fourth place along with Spurs and maybe Liverpool, while Chelsea, City and United challenge for the title. I'm not sure if your defence is solid enough to win the league and it will be interesting to see if they improve under Bould, but I think Cazorla puts you on a different level to Spurs, and, on paper at least, your squad is pretty level with United's.

Interestingly, two months ago no one here even mentioned his name. There were countless wish lists of players fans wanted at Arsenal, I have never seen Cazorla in any of those. Now everyone is raving about him. All of a sudden he is a world beater. I guess the guy is a good player indeed. But for some reason there is not much competition for his signature, if any.

That's probably because at the time we all thought there was no way in hell that Malaga would sell. I mean they were seen as Spanish PSG/Man City. And Cazorla was their best player. The players mentioned were guys we get linked to lot, players like Gotze and co. At the time it looked easier to gets players like Gotze compared to Cazorla.

I thought he was injured during the last WC, no? I do not remember him in the Spain squad in S. Africa

I disagree with this to be honest.

Firstly, Mata and Hazard were both 'absolutely instrumental' in getting Lille and Valencia into the champions league, maybe even more than Cazorla was at his clubs.

I also don't know why you're putting Götze in a higher class than Mata and Hazard. Maybe he has more potential, but as of right now he's probably equal if not a little worse.

And no, he's not in the same class as Ronaldo, Xavi or Messi. He's very very good, but he's not that good.

Also, Arteta has zero caps for Spain, so you could add him together with any Spain player with less caps than Cazorla and it would be correct.
For example, Busquets and Arteta combined have the same number as caps as Cazorla, but Arteta adds nothing to this stat other than misrepresentation.

I'm just pointing out, what people think in Spain, and how he is rated there. This guy is considered godlike. That is why his whoplayed ratings are through the roof. That is why he makes the Spanish team. I am not saying I know he is good; I am not saying you should think he is world class even; I am telling you that about 20M people in Spain think he is world class, right up there with those names.

You think he's in the same bracket as Messi, Ronaldo and Xavi?

and how is Juan Mata, a Champions League winner, a wannabe?

I can vouch for this, the people here love the guy, on & off the park, he's a way stronger player than Jesus Navas, who often gets the nod ahead of him for Spain.

He's similar in quality to Mata, if a little different, and he dragged Malaga into the CL.

He is perfect for Arsenal, he's lightweight, but so's Mata, and he was more than good for Chelsea, I think this signing gives Arsenal an extre few points, assuming he settles well.

I did read the post, and all I got was that you think he's as good as Messi and Ronaldo. Can you back up the statistic that In Spain, Cazorla >>> Mata? I'm genuinely intrigued as I never really saw either play in Spain.

For ****'s sake - Why do you keep saying "You think..." when I wrote this - "I am not saying I know he is good; I am not saying you should think he is world class even; I am telling you that about 20M people in Spain think he is world class, right up there with those names."

If you read the thread you will see that whoscored has him in their team of the season, which not a single PL player made. Just bear in mind that very few people in Spain are going to think that any of the players in the Chelsea side that won the CL are good enough to play in La Liga.
