I'm not talking about Fifa here. I mean for the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, build a team for each one, using any players you want for each division.

    Mine.

    Premier League -

    -----------RVP------------

    Bale------Rooney------Silva

    ---Yaya--------Tiote------

    Clichy--Vidic--Kompany--Sagna

    -----------Hart------------

    La Liga -

    Ineista-------Ronaldo---------Messi

    -----Xavi---------------Ozil--------

    -------------Alonso----------------

    Marcelo--Pepe-----Ramos-----Alves

    -------------Cassilas----------------

    Ligue 1 -

    Bastos------Ibravimovic--------Nene

    --------------Pastore----------------

    --------Motta--------Mvila-----------

Cissokho----Mbia---Alex------Debuchy (Hopefully not for much longer lol)

    --------------Lloris--------------------

    Serie A -

    -------Di Natale------Cavani----------

    --Pirlo----------------------Sneijder

    -------De Rossi----Cambiasso--------

    De Ceglie---Cheillini--Lucio-------Maicon

    --------------Buffon---------------

    Perchinio.
    Perchinio. Perchinio. Perchinio. Perchinio.
    Perchinio. Perchinio. Perchinio.
    Perchinio. Perchinio. Perchinio.

    Ligue 1

Le Perchy. Le Perchy. Le Perchy. Le Perchy
Le Perchy. Le Perchy. Le Perchy. Le Perchy
    Le Perchy. Le Perchy.

    Serie A

    Perchelli. Perchelli. Perchelli. Perchelli

Now before you accuse me of not taking this seriously, the reason I chose a 433 formation for the Spanish side is that I feel it is better suited to their league.

You are a pretty bad judge of left-backs aren't you?

    All 4-3-3, just 'cos.

    Premier League

    ----Suarez--Aguero--Silva
    ----------------Mata-----------
    ----------Toure---Lucas-----------
    Cole--Vidic--Kompany--Walker
    ---------------Hart-------------------

The football that that team would play could basically be described as 'sex'.

    La Liga

    --------Ronaldo-------Falcao------------
    -----------------Messi----------------------
    ----Alonso---Xavi-----Iniesta---------
    Marcelo---Ramos--Pique---Alves
    --------------Casillas---------------------

    Ligue 1

    Lavezzi------Ibrahimovic-----Menez
    ------------------Martin-------------------
    ----------M'Vila------Pastore-----------
    Cissoko----Alex----Lovren----Debuchy
    -----------------Lloris---------------------

Tried to get non-PSG players in.

    Serie A

    ----Di Natale---Cavani---Lamela----
    ---Marchisio---Pirlo---Boateng---
    Balzaretti---Chiellini--Lucio---Abate
    ------------------Buffon-------------------

Can't justify all of Inter's big names right now. Pepe/Vukivic (sp?) and Nocerino are honourable mentions.

Can't believe NI Revolution In Red hasn't put Enrique in goals <laugh>

Personally I like Tash's teams (bar Pirlo wide left, he's like 100 years old <yikes>), but only because I've yet to watch any of the Premier League expensive newbies in action. This would be closer to mine:

    -----------RVP------------

    Bale------Ramires------Silva

    ---Yaya--------Tiote------

    Cole--Vidic--Kompany--Richards

    -----------Enrique------------

Would be an awesome first 11 any day, though the right backs in our league look shocking at moment... Until we nail Debuchy of course <ok>

I can't really comment on the other leagues players, because I only watch them in the European cups mostly. For what it's worth, you couldn't go too far wrong just having Barca's first eleven for La Liga, with only a change of goalie and possibly Ronaldo put in (though I reckon he'd be **** at Barca, the big selfish jessie has to be the big gun). Can't believe nobody has Villa in the first 11...

Oh well, other than that, Scott Dann's Ok Bollocks looks percheriffic!

    Hey, Enrique doesn't concede many...

Villa hasn't played in about a year, who knows what he'll be like when he's back. Sad, because he's brilliant.

<laugh> he's still not as good as Tiote <whistle>

I remember a time in the not so distant past when anybody with a scouse accent seemed to think Lucas was guff... A couple of games for Brazil and he was held aloft as if he ****s skittles...

Think he's good like, but we haven't seen his best in this league by a long-shot. Still, the likes of Adam and Downing has got everyone's blood up so much I bet Lucas is like a godsend to the Kop <ok>

Statistically he's been the league's best tackler for two seasons now in terms of successful tackles and tackle success rate. He's an absolute machine - he practically beat Chelsea single-handedly in the league and cup last season, for example. With him we lost twice - without we lost 14.

First name on the teamsheet for Brazil according to Dunga when he was manager... His rise over the past few seasons has been like Lazarus, really has been.

With the team I selected, the midfield would work well - Mata furthest forward, Yaya linking the play and going box to box, and Lucas sitting. It's a myth that a midfield 3 play as a lateral line.

You'll just have to hope this long injury doesn't spoil him then, same as we have to be wary of with Saylor imo. Both players fitness levels probably won't be great for the start of next season.

Definitely... He's going to take a while to get back his sharpness, but he's played all pre-season - two months ahead of schedule and he looks fine. No surprise because he's worked extremely hard to get back, his attitude is fantastic.

Really hope he isn't too affected in the long term - Ramsey for instance has looked far worse since his leg break.

Statistically Simpson was the best right back last year... <whistle>

And wasn't Dunga the most defensive Brazilian coach of all time?

The big gripe, I remember, was about his ball retention and passing range, considering defensive midfielders traditionally make the team tick. I shall keep an eye out for him though. It'll be interesting to see if he has the impact everyone predicts on that Liverpool midfield <ok>.

    Stats don't mean everything.

De Jong reads the game better than Tiote, so does Essien, but I prefer Yaya and Tiote at the back, because they mark and obliterate players threats better at their best IMO.
