Apart from a bit of bickering this was a fairly successful match day thread - don't usually get 8 pages do we?
Rogue Leader. What sort of a stupid idiot would think that Maltese Mick would want me to write an article for him. How can a half wit think I would want to write for anyone else. If that is how you get your kicks in life, then you are a sadder imbecile than I origionally thought. As far as the match went I thought the bhoys did well (well most of them). Big Victor did a lot to prove that he will certainly will be with us for the season. Izzy is no where near the player he was and neither is Hooper. Taking down wee Forrest when he was bound to score was about the only time he was involved in game apart from his goal but if he keeps on scoring we won't mind if his general play is off. Terrible defending for their goal. The Finns ot into our 6 yd box from the half way line unhindered, mid fielders were clearly not doing their job. It shouldn't matter if we play 3 at the back or whatever especially for the last ten minutes, what we need to be doing is every player needs to fill the empty areas where we could be hurt when the other team has the ball. We did that at the end and over the whole game our attacking players found a hell of a lot more space than theirs did and ours used it reasonably well sometimes, they really only looked dangerous on two or three occasions. I think we will score at least as many times as them over there.
We came back from 1-0 down to win the game and were unlucky not to get more - I am not making excuses, I think we played very well and was pleased with how we came back and pegged them into their own half for long periods. Obviously I wanted more goals and we should have got more goals but I was enjoying the football, the crisp passing and the domination of possession. I can't be negative about the performance in the way you can. Were we prepared? Probably not as much as they were given that they are half way through their season - but the gap in class shone through. I just hope it shines through again next week.
Rogueleader, why does a comic like you waste his time on a forum like this. A man with wit as you should have no boundaries, you are surely heading for greater things especially in the haze of alcohol. With any luck, if you pay some people well enough they may smile or snigger at your "humour".
