Judging by how p'd off and despondent Brix sounded when he issued the final post on the LATEST thread he felt he had to close, I wouldn't be surprised if he was seriously considering whether this lark is worth it; self-moderation is in tatters; we really have to ask ourselves (me included) if we're prepared to see this board continue to host personal and agenda-driven topics which have nothing to do with QPR. This comment is not a reflection on this thread per se, just a general comment.

 

we could easily put it down to close season, expectancy for next season, amazing stuff been going on at HQ, spent the whole summer on a high and we're all still high, frustration at only getting Hoilkltt instead of Messi, and any other reason...

None of us are innocent (me included) but if we continue in this vein then we are gonna lose Brix as our mod and personally i think it would be the begining of the end of this board.

Totally this. North gives me grief about being a sh*t stirrer yet he is one of the biggest on here but because he does it so slyly, people don't see it.

I'm not surprised Oddball's noticed it though as he is very astute.

I think a characteristic of all of us is that, when we think of something we'd like to add to a thread (no matter what the topic) we HAVE to add it.

We need one of those reality checks that happen in life where we re-evaluate our reason for being (on this forum) - our collective love of our little but soon to be massive club - and start sharing in our wonderfully diverse opinions on all subjects Hoops-related (hopefully Imaz included).

You can easily see why Brix was asked to be mod - he seems to consistently rise above most bickering while the rest of us jostle for superiority like we're in the playground. He took on the role as an investment in the forum (to continue Northy's good work) and not to be a school teacher trying to maintain discipline in a screaming classroom.

 

Maybe if BrixtonR goes then Northolt will take over again

P.S. Andy, could you explain your post yesterday because nobody's telling me what it meant and its bugging me to be honest?!
