In time, I suspect you'll all come to realise why I have him on my "top 5 sexy men for admiring, but only touching if the women-folk go downhill" list... He's respectful, positive, charming and professional. A better man you could not have as coach, and his general managerial prowess is being honed all the time. What I have popped on here to tell you about, however, is what I call "the hughton glance". When beginning a typically dignified and respectful answer to a boring and predictable journo question, he looks down and to his left, which makes you feel all is lost, and just where did I put that rope?... But then... Out of the gloom his rises to the top right to meet the journo's eyes... Inspiration bursts through your lungs and ignites the happy centres of your brain (for the full meaning of this intensely medical jargon, I can provide a glossary at will)... Your team will rise to the challenge. Anyway, he does this many times in the course of an interview, so see how many "hughton glances" you can count. I believe the Newcastle record for a short interview was 15 Not going to wish your team well (though I hope Hughton does) like a typical board(/bored) hopping goon, because we need it more... I will wish you well in your respective lives however, it's only polite
Just shows how boring this close season is that we are now talking about one of Hughton's mannerisms. See you next season I think
After what happened for a few weeks following the end of the season, the remainder of the summer was never going to live up to that was it?
Yeah, nothing against anyone on the board at all. I agree, quiet times. Going to MK Dons friendly on friday so will let you probably have something to say after that.
