Hello all, hope we still have the confidence left in us after this afternoon's draw

A friend of mine spotted Scott Loach at Watford Junction earlier this week. He asked a few questions and was told that Danny Graham's future is very much in the balance as MANY clubs have been in touch with MM to set up a possible Summer transfer. To compound the heartache, Watford seem prepared to cash in. However Scott Loach guarenteed that he will be remaining with us for next season as a minimum, a mature decision imo <ok>

This fella's word is usually solid, but i know how difficult it is to beleive an un-sourced rumour. Either way, what are your thoughts?

    Welcome to not606, THOMC <ok>.

I think that both of those predictions will turn out to be true, and not a surprise to anyone really. I can't see us being flooded with offers for Scott, so I expect him to stay. If there are "lots" of enquiries about Danny, then great, the more there are the higher his price is likely to be. I know we would all wish him well.

    <ok>

Welcome THOMC to not606 - both sound reasonable predictions - if true I hope we get a shedload of money for DG and that SL has a blinder of a season next year to take us towards the Prem

Thank you Leonardo, Hornette, SLB <ok>

In Loach's circumstance, i wouldnt call it a prediction. More of a statement but i guess weve been down that road before ... As for Graham, it's almost accepted that he will be on his way. But it's important we dont sell to the wrong buyer in order to gain the few extra pounds - I think i'd rather keep him!

Yeah that sounds about right. 1/6 of Nathan Ellington's paycheck .... Blimey. And he will most likly be playing 2 divisions bellow Graham in August.

From our perspective, 5k isnt a bank busting wage for somebody of such importance (theoretically, everybody else should be earning below 5k) and his contract doesnt expire until 2012. Would it not be worth the club's time (and certainly effort) to attempt to keep him a Hornet? But if a transfer request is handed in though, his fate would be all but sealed.

I hope is the other way DG will stay and SL go but I believe that will not be.

As long as DG does not go to Swansea City or QPR.

I can See DG going to QPR but the more suitors the better !! QPR will have prem money to spend ,DG wouldnt have to move house etc! and the steptoes do have history in taking on ex hornets!!
    Welcome Hart

Thank you Norway <ok> And i agree, QPR do seem the best long term solution. Swansea etc may be up there for a year but what then? Another Burnley scenario? IF QPR were to come in for him, will he be slightly against a move after the bottle inncident back in Dec?

I would think DG has already forgotten about that and prefers to think of his goals against them<ok>

Fair comment, although players can hold grudges just like anybody else. I would prefere to think climate change could make us 6 degrees warmer, but i just cant ignore the possibility of extinction <ok>

Swings and roundabouts, whichever way you want to look at it i suppose <ok>

DG and possibly SL going. We might lose Cowie too. I think we'll have another depleted squad, repopulated with kids and need another Malky the Magician season in 2011/12.

I hope Danny goes, make some cash off him while hes playing well. He was crap last season and we cant afford that next year! As for Loach he loves living around Watford, saw him in Kandi Klub just after christmas and he loves it here. Cant see him going anywere which is a shame because he has cost us points this year!
