I would have thought that having boobs was an essential requirement for a girlfriend?

Someone's just asked Mclean on Twitter, if he's being swapped with Taylor and going back to the Posh, he said 'Naaa lol'.

    Which I think means no.

Hope we aren't looking at McFadden because Fryatt is looking to move on.

As I've said on the Koren thread, I think it will take a substantial bid for us to part with Matty

He's not really deployed as a striker, more in the Koren role or out wide. He'd be a fantastic proposition for any Championship side and would really be a statement of intent if we brought him in. It would probably spell the end of McKenna though, assuming we are playing 4-4-2.

Mcfadden is a more attacking player than McKenna; therefore if he did come in he wouldnt take McKennas place (assuming McKenna is in SB's first 11)

Yes, but if he were to play a 4-4-2, the midfield would probably be....

    Stewart - Evans - McFadden - Aluko

Not quite sure where McKenna would fit in, or Cairney for that matter. I've left Koren out just in case he leaves. If he doesn't, then McFadden would probably just be cover for Koren.

    That was a part-ex for Boyd, this one's a part-ex for Taylor.

Pretty positive the Barmby era swap involved Lee Tomlin, not Boyd - Although I'd rather have Boyd in our team.

Agreed John... McFadden started out at Motherwell(2000-2003), had 2 spells with Everton either side of Birmingham City(2008-11) just after Steve Bruce was manager. Someone tweeted last night he was in Hull monday for a medical. Now this rumour would be of little surprise IF true. He Can play either forward or winger. <ok>

Oh good. So we dont have any serious competition then.?

Actually I thought it was more STARSHIP www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBQVrCflZ_E

Matty Fryatt has moved on in relation to where he lives. Why are so many people so nervous about players out ill, injured or simply rested ? You shall make yoursleves ill.

I don't think McFadden has played in the centre for a while. If Koren leaves, I'd expect the midfield to be more like:

    Aluko Cairney McKenna McFadden

When suggesting lineups people seem to disregard injuries, bans, poor form etc. ^ this wouldn't "leave" Stewart anywhere, I just find it more likely that McFadden would be used as a wide man to add to only two that we currently employ.

Agree with your midfield. Can't see McFadden being used as a CM, it seems even less appropriate than Koren playing there to me. McKenna will surely still be in the middle next season, he was one of our best players last season and streets ahead of Evans because he can do the defensive bit as well as being decent on the ball, Evans is just a tackler.

I thought Mcfadden was More a left winger or support striker?

Has he played Central midfield?, Totally different type of player to Mckenna.

Mcfadden to start on the left, would take the pressure off Stewart and allow him to develop properly.

If Koren does leave Boyd would be the perfect replacement.

Noticed on SSN this morning saying he hasn't travelled with the rest of the team to a game. Also on twitter saying MON is willing to let him go. City are supposedly looking at him.

Bruce stated clearly on Humbs this morning (not live, obvs recorded at Donny) that we're light in the wide areas and that he wants to address it.

It really does seem that 2+2=4.....

As for the player himself, never seen him but their fans seem to suggest he can beat a man all day, is a direct, attacking runner but his end product is infuriating. Now where have we heard that before....?
