Just have a little look who is the most prolific striker (ignore Lampard as he takes the pens) in the EPL per chances provided and clear cut chances? Interesting? Its is for me. please log in to view this image
Not sure it shows that mate just looked at the names on the list, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Its not in order talc and in fact he has a better chance per goal ratio than everyone bar Lampard. 70% as opposed to Bendtner was bottom with 18%.
Me too Disco. I reckon if we can double the chances with Larsson, McClean, Sess and AN Other supplying them, he will hit 15 goals minimum imo. He is a highly underrated footballer and would be a top signing for £10m.
All that proves to me is, he only had 10 clear cut chances all season and had 7 clear cut shots (doesnt mean goals, just shots at goal) and missed 3. Its the "only" 10 chances that worries me, and we all know Bendtner played on the wing 80% of the time. But saying that, I know about his strike rate, I do not know but may look into it, when he scored his goals, IE how many points/winning goals did he score, or were Wolves already 3-0 down and he scored 10 consolation goals in the last 10 minutes of matches, and it does make a difference.
I wouldn't pay fifty quid for the ****er. That's why I'm not in Short's position. If they want to spend ten I will be happy.
His 10 goals netted Wolves a grand total of 9 points last season 2 wins against Blackburn and us (where he scored 2), and 3 draws one of which was the Swansea away, but they were 3-0 down, he scored in the 28th minute, Swansea scored again in the 31st to go 4-1 up then Wolves made a comeback, without Fletcher scoring, but I still give him a point for that, which I probably shouldnt but meh. Now I know Bent has ****ed off and 2 totally different players, but in comparison, when Bent got 24 goals for us, and this is just to get a win/draw (not like above and just scoring in a game) he got us 33 points that season. like it or not, dont really care, but I am entitled to voice my opinion on here, just like those in favour are, but I just dont think he will improve us at all, and he wont break double figures. But i really cant be arsed to argue over it anymore, it may just be media crap yet and we may never have put a bid in for him after all, lets wait till he has signed and played a few games, I will support the lad if we do sign him, but i can voice my doubts before we do.
Where do you get £7m from, who are you comparing him too? He is 25, got his best years ahead of him, an international (albeit Scotland) and if we can get 5 good years out of him and at least 15 goals a season that sounds good to me! His value is what someone is prepared to pay for him not some arbitrary figure dreamed up by us!! £12m for 5 years of payback, £2.4m per year. Still think we need another striker too, not sure Campbell is up to it, not shown a lot yet on a consistent basis, thought he would really come out of the traps this pre-season.
Some clubs have paid fortunes for big name strikers such as Shevchenko for £30m and got nowt back for them - 9 goals in 49 games. We paid £6m for Flo - 4 goals in 29 games. Both had huge reputations and both were a total waste of money. Equate those 2 figures into todays money and £12m for a 25 year old who has netted more in one season that both of those put together and I have to say not as bad as some would have us make out here.
Players just dont settle for whatever reason, Shevchenko even with that slump is still a 1 in 2 striker. 648 games 321 goals He was worth that at the time, it just never happened for him for whatever reason, injuries mostly I believe. **** happens as they say.
