Personally I think we are good enough only to reach the play-offs! But with Beaver we are gaurenteed goals at this level. But its highly unlikely someone wont sign him. I think we will need another striker in the team. But thats down to the small budget we´ve got already. Hopefully we will have a good season. But we should be realistic! I was surprised we have managed to get the qaulity of the players we did sighn. Especially the doc and spring. I would still have wories about are backline. After the way some of are players were playing last season.

Be such a shame if you did.

I long for the days of election to the top leagues once more, so us big boys don't have to mingle with the peasant clubs.

i think if we get the team right, we have the quality to go up

    bull

    basey stewert doherty mccoy

    wood lewis/bloomfield spring grant/oli

    new striker/oli/logan beavon

after seeing the friendlys i do worry about basey pacewise in defence. i also think we need another striker, beavon is fantastic but he may go and i worry about the other class upfront. based on friendlys mccoy has looked much better, and stewert and doherty make a fantastic centre back partnership.

I think we can go back up, it just depends on our strikers. Personally, I don't think we've improved anything up front by replacing Strevens and Rendell with Logan and Oli, but time will tell. I do think though that Spring, Doherty and also Angol are great signings and should do well this season.

Also, what's got that Leeds supporter so bitter? Are you guys still angry that we drew to you a few years ago?

I wondered that too. Leeds have been a friendly bunch so I don't know what's upset this one.

its another once big club thinking because they once won trophys and have a big staduim/fan base they have a god given right to be in the top divisions and never play the "small" clubs. there was a similar attitude across the internet forums by both sheffield clubs (mainly united) last season

I think you're spot on, Leeds are a championship side nowadays and aren't really even a big club for that division. Teams like Fulham, Wigan and West Brom are bigger than Leeds nowadays, yet those are the exact teams they would have been calling 'peasant clubs' a few years ago.

Leeds were complimentary towards our team and supporters. He is not representative of the decent Leeds fans we've dealt with in the past. And Sheff W fans were very complimentary indeed towards our team and fans after the final game of the season.

You're probably right, it's just the ridiculously snobby ones that let them down.

Sorry gents, I went on a bit of an angling excursion. Seems I got a decent haul, mind.

(Come on, really, advocating election to the top two tiers of English football?)
