Firstly, I'm 35 and can remember the 80s quite well thanks it was when I went to my first game. Secondly, no matter how much other fans hate it, Liverpool will always be a massive club because of our global reputation and history of being the most successful British team ever. None of that has changed or will change. After Man Utd were the most poular British club in the world and sell more shirts worldwide than nearly any other team. You can't be a 'big' club when 6 people in North London support you. Even though, were supposedly **** and irrelevant and not big anymore we still attract sponship deals bigger than most, if not all, clubs in the league. That global companies are willing to pay that much money to be associated with the name Liverpool FC even though were going through one of our least successful periods (although 3 ****ing years is hardly a 'period' like!) since the 50s speaks volumes. Also, reputations aren't changed in 3 years. Just because we've had 3 poor years by our own high standards doesn't mean were no longer a big club. Its a temporary blip and we'll be back in the top 4 in the next few years. In the grand scheme of things, 3 seasons is nothing and it is completely ridiculous to suggest that everything we did before those 3 seasons, qualifying for the champions league every year, all the trophies we've one SINCE 2000 (its always "won nothing or had no success since the 80s whereas if you count trophies won since the year 2000 we'd be right near the top, not to mention we won the CL in 2005 and got back to the final in 2007, oohh yeh, that was centuries ago that!) means nothing now just makes you sound like an ignorant fool who lets their hatred of LFC cloud their judgement. If Spurs don't get in the top 4 for the 3 seasons (which is more likely than their delusional fans realise or will admit) I'll remind them that they are now a small club that doesn't matter and anything they had achieved before the last 3 seasons now counts for nothing. I, and I'd imagine my fellow kopites would agree, make NO apologies for talking about our history. As a football club and fan base we had to work our arses of to win all those trophies and it is something we are all very proud off and will NEVER be ashamed to refer to it because some small-minded fans of smaller clubs are jealous that they have won less than us or even have no history to speak off at all, like to call us "stuck in the past" - oohh our past, thats so hurtful please don't say were stuck in the past!!! we have EARNED the right to bask in what we have achieved as a club and as fans. We are one of the few global clubs that is massively important to millions upon millions of fans across the world. with a glorious past and a glorious future and I will never apologise for reminding people about that and I will never ever feel any shame over it. Every other clubs fans would do the exact same if they were in our position. We will always be a bigger club than Spurs to, of that I have no doubt whatsoever. They'll soon be back down in mid-table when AVB ****s them up like Chelsea and their best players start to leave them just like we went through when we weren't in the CL.

Tonight Wales were much the better team against Scotland but fell behind when a Fletcher flick on found James Morrison who wasn't being tracked. 0-1 Scotland. Second half and we're still on top. Scotland have a goal disallowed for an offside call against Fletcher which was 100% wrong...the linesman should have flagged up 2 passes earlier in the build up though. Adam comes on and starts throwing his weight around. Dirty little bastard. Adam clips Ramsey's ankles in the box whilst holding his hands in the air to make like he was trying to get out of the way. Then Christophe Berra grabs Craig Davies in the box off the ball and throws him too the ground. Obvious penalty. No penalty. (crowd starts singing "the referee's a bastard") Bale beats 3 and jinks into the box...he goes down easily when the defender clips his ankles. Ref gives a penalty. Charlie Adam is straight over in Bale's face accusing him of being a diving bastard etc. Ramsey puts it down, Bale says "no, I want this" and cooly passes it into the corner. Adam continues to give niggly fouls away disrupting our midfield from launching attacks, body checks mostly. Unbelievable that he doesn't get booked. And I ****ing loves it! Charlie Adam, if you or anyone connected to you is reading this...you'll never be good enough to share the same pitch as Gareth Bale. Try playing some football instead of running around kicking people, you're not very good at it
What applies to Bale never applies to Suarez. Because no matter how many times Bale, Welbeck or Young dive they are not scum. But when Suarez dives he should be given a 3 match ban.
Ffs anyone ever tried running at pace and had their heel clipped onto their other leg? Impossible to stay up in such a situation. The "Suarez is a diver" bandwagon is viewed, rightly, as ridiculous by us Liverpool fans but the vocal minority of Liverpool fans trying to divert all the criticism off Suarez onto Bale is just as bad. There might be merit in what you are saying that Suarez would be crucified for that while with Bale its ignored but you're doing exactly the same as the media by criticising Bale everytime he goes down in the box, justified or not.
There was contact?, that doesn't mean it's a pen PNP, what makes it a pen is if it's a foul tackle in the area. Looking at the gif the Scottish player doesn't make any attempt to push or trip Bale and his direction or his step don't change, Bale runs across his path and is at fault for the contact, never a pen. But the theatrical fall cons the ref. Just saying.
Your problem is that your board is modded so you dont see the real world. Suarez is a fuc*ing cheat . That will last 40 seconds on here .
