CELTIC fan Michael Jamieson is going for gold tonight in the 200m breaststroke final at the Olympics, and Celtic fans coming to the Euro game at Paradise against HJK Helsinki will be able to watch the race on the big screens inside the stadium. The swimming final starts at 7.30pm and Michael, along with his Team GB colleague, Andrew Willis, will be looking to finish among the medals. And Neil Lennon, has sent his best wishes to Michael and Andrew ahead of the big event. The Celtic manager said: âIt is a great achievement for Michael to reach tonightâs final. I know he is a big Celtic supporter and on behalf of everyone at the Club, we wish him all the very best of luck for tonight. âHopefully we can welcome him back to Celtic Park as an Olympic medal winner in the near future. âMichael and his team-mate, Andrew Willis, have given their all to get this far and, of course, we wish both of them well.â So if youâre coming to tonightâs game (KO: 7.45pm), get along early to see the swimming final and cheer fellow Celt, Michael Jamieson on in his quest for Olympic gold. http://www.celticfc.net/newsstory?item=2877 Hopefully he can bring home another British gold.
We should get him to come to a Celtic game in Winter time, preferably Firp Ark where he could do a couple of display lengths of their pitch
A stupid gesture, I cannot believe Neil Lennon agreed to this. What the hell has any swimmer swimming for team GB todo with Celtic. At 7.30 we need Celtic Park filled to the rafters with every Tom Dick and Harry concentrating on what lies ahead. We cannot have two minds, we are either there for football or else we are there for some airy fairy swimming. How can we all be ready to wipe Helskinki off the face of the football match if we are glued to tv screens watching some boy compete for Britain. Later on I suppose if w qualify we will be showing Eastenders.
I'll put you in a ****ing ambivulance ya **** Hopefully it will put the stadium into a frenzy.....or people will be ambivulance and not give a ****.
I remember Scott Harrison came out at HT in a match against the \Huns. He got jeered from both sides.
Nah, def silver. Smashed the British record again. Bloke who won (Hungarian?) broke the world record and the Scot wasn't far behind him.
