Rangers have signed seven players already this summer, with more still expected through the door at Loftus Road. However, Hughes admits he will have to trim his squad to help balance the numbers at the club's Harlington training base. yep 2nd that far too many average players in squad, feel a bit for young the rest not good enough for prem.
Maybe not dreadful but it will definitely weaken us imo. Along with HH our star performer pre christmas/change of management. He got dropped for allowing two goals, away against Newcastle and at home against Wolves if my memory serves me correct. Where he was at fault and way to easily turned, still a bit harsh considering his earlier form. What we'll miss most if he's let go will be his attacking runs, offers way more than Onouha in that respect.
Young's fall from grace has been spectacular. After a very good start with us I thought he was an excellent buy and would go on to become a big favourite at LR. Hughes is obviously not a fan.
About time! I am not sure what happened to Young. He was my signing of the season up until Christmas last year. Shame as we obviously need full backs and he surely could have done a job. Anyway in Hughes we trust!
Maybe he was one the players MH said couldn't grasp what they were trying to achieve?! If a manager has a vision and a player cannot see it, he has to go, doesn't matter if he's good or not!
Not me yet! I agree with what Swords and Norway write. Young seemed to lose form with MH's arrival, though whether there is a connection I don't know. For me we need Young in the 25, unless we buy a better RB before the Window closes

He has to win something to convert you Jock! Didn't Young injure himself taking a free kick against Wolves? And nearly disappear from then on. I reckon we are shopping for at least one more defender. Young was a good short term buy ( but probably on a very generous contract) in the circumstances of last summer, looks like he's out of the plans now though. I did read he's only interested in playing for London clubs, which was why he left Villa.
Well we won a game or two with him! Move us up from a point off the drop zone would probably do it, particularly if we don't all fall asleep watching!

When Rowly came back from injury at the start of the Promotion season, COLIN said it was like signing a new player and that he'd tried to sign him 3 or 4 times already in his career. He waxed lyrical about how he was perfect - his type of player and all that. Then the season came along and he was totally frozen out. Even when our whole midfield was injured and Rowly was chomping at the bit, COLIN picked centre-halves to play ahead of him. There was just no sense to it. So the only conclusion you could come to then was that they had a row and that was that. The current scenario could be the same story.
Young is awful defensively, caught out every time someone goes at him, hes pretty good going forward though but he gives his man 5 yards of space to do what he wants.
He's not awful. Don't talk rot. But I do agree that he gives wingers too much space. Is he a World-beater? Of course not. But is he capable of being part of a team looking to push up to mid-table? Without a doubt. He was COLIN's best signing last year. Maybe in a year or two if we're (hopefully) pushing on to the next level then perhaps he'd be out of his depth. But at the moment he's got what it takes.
