Are you sure big Dan played right back for Sweden, I cannot remember Dan running 60 yards and getting to the end-line and pulling the ball back. Many people thought big Dan was the answer to our prayers when he was signed, a big imposing experience centre half, just what many are calling for now. Listig looks the part in what we have seen so far, but I suppose when the boo bhoys will soon knock the confidence out of him if he makes a mistake. I don't agree big Moton didn't get enough chances, I am sure Neil and the other Managers sa him regularly the times he was with us, in their judgement in practice matches he didn't show enough. I am not sure that Neil just didn't play him for the craic of it.
Lustig has played what? One game at CB in a pre-season friendly. Hardly evidence of a competent CB. As for Rasmussen, he was given plenty of chances in bounce games and 'B' games and still couldn't score in them. Utter gash.
i nthink the problem we have is chico and rogne are our 2 best centre halfs but neither of them has a decent turn of pace - which is why lennon has persevered with wilson
The problem with his pace though, is that he relies on it at SPL level to get him back in time when his brain is 2 paces behind the forward's movement. You don't get those sort of second chances playing against forwards in europe...
