no but in all seriousness there was no need to rip down the bluebird logo from the stadium was it. Tan must realise that it will cause friction to the faithful. they could have put the dragon along side the bluebird or on top if they had to. My best freind is absolutly devistated that the malaysians are getting rid bit by bit anything to do with the real cardiff city and replacing it with their own logo, the seats will be changed for next season you can bank on it....would cardiff have gone under if they never conned their way in....of course they would not have, they may had gone into administration and probably docked some points but no way would they be as bad as pompey are. There is no reason to rebrand whatsoever unless you have a nasty selfish reason that this is turning out to be, Id rather go into admin and relegation and rise from the dead that way than let someone strip your identity and take away everything cardiff city stands for,....Cardiff is blue and should always be blue with a bluebird proudly displayed on the stadium, programmes, and everything that is sold in the club shop but most of all on the players shirts.....shame on them...
Can't disagree but there isn't enough fans there to go along with your statement and the ones that are willing to protest peacefully have been threatened by their own . If that some people are prepared to give up to get to the Premiership than god help football .
its a difficult situtation. i dont see it as 'red or dead'. i see it as 'red or go down the swansea route', obviously meaning administration and paying creditors 5p in the pound or whatever, losing all our players and rebuilding from say league 1. but in fairness dai your comment is against the owners, not 'the fans taking it up the arse' tone that some of you have, and this shows the fans dont have a say in how the club is run.
You simply cannot resist having a swipe, can you swamp? On a different thread it's Joe Allen and his potential £15m price tag that is causing you grief,(that must really grate on you),and here it's The Swans'. I wonder just how much larger your green eye can get.
Makes me laugh that Cardiff fans always mock paying our creditors a reduced amount. Perfectly legal, I think you'll find, even though we'd all prefer it hadn't happened. At least it led to eventual success and we didn't have to change our kit/ badge/ colours/ identity. I think we did the right thing, actually. Brings to mind the morally questionable practice of having 7 Prem players on loan in an effort to get promotion. Again, perfectly legal (unfortunately) but that also led to success in the end. Oh wait a minute.....
Oh,and how many winding up orders did the tax dodging mob have to answer? Didn't they issue season tickets for The High Court?
Most clubs go through some form of financial difficulties at some point and we are no different, we even had a guy that wanted to get rid of all our first team players, There was uproar at the club with the players and the fans and even though we knew we would be going into admin we had to get rid of this guy (petty) and all he stood for before he ruined our club once and for all.....well we managed it and we ended up rock bottom with no proper chairman and our captain and goalkeeper keeping the club running..(god how much we owe these two ex-players)....The minute we got rid of petty and his cronies we got to work as a team where the brilliant two mel's and alan curtis and the fans got together and started to rebuild the club. Mel charles was standing in as temperory chairman while trying to recruit some investors and was looking for someone who will take over as chairman on a perminant basis. We managed to find Huw who at the time was running the biggest scaffolding firm in wales and he agreed to become chairman without commiting any financial backing and that is what we were not looking for due to our financial situation and a lot of us were dissapointed that he would not put any money into the club at the time.......but fair play to him he steadied the ship and we managed to install a manager and we have gone from strength to strength and become the riches club of all time in wales....so if we can go from rock bottom to where we are today then there is no need for cardiff to sell their soul to these guys that are only in it for themselves and not in it for the fans of cardiff city.....
Sly comments & his version of our history from swamp (good choice of user name by the way) bears no resemblance to whats going on at carduff
They've signed a player today. Next thing they'll be promoted as champions and go straight into the champions league
Cardiff's S.Korean signing has been given a nickname by his team mates-LEGSA as in legs a Kimbo.Tee hee.
Hi swamp....who's avatar are you displaying mate. I cant see any team in the championship with that badge as their emblem....
