Leeds have to play Reading Palace Burnley QPR We have to play Boro QPR Palace Bristol Forrest Leicester Bristol Scunthorpe Palace For me this is in our favour they both have palace at home which will be difficult as they are fighting for survival, Reading for Leeds next won't be easy, 3 wins out of four and we have made it I think.
I'm hoping for the best and not getting carried away. If there was 10 more games I believe we would 100% get in there. It makes me sick thinking about that game against Weeds at our place when we through away a 2 goal lead.
Tbh, I think Forest have a slightly easier run in than us, I hope QPR get promotion before they play us 'cos I can see a City draw there maybe even a win!
the worst thought that occurred to me is, we could win all 4 of our remaining games but not get into the playoffs. Really wonder how much those 2 dropped points against Leeds may or may not cost us
And don't forget, if it's relative to Leeds we dropped 3 points in that game (the two we lost plus the 1 they gained).
I did the BBC predictor up to next Monday and got us in 6th place, that is with a win at QPR and Leeds losing to Reading I think, can't remember the rest but it is really tight isn't it.
I still think both City and Leeds will miss out, unfortunately. It's not a massive ask for Forest to beat Palace, Scunthorpe and Bristol. We'll have to pray that Leicester do us a favour and one of the other 3 snatches a point. Not only that but we have to win our main 3 (besides QPR) It depends on too much really, we'll just have to take each game as it comes.
I think we would need 10 points from the last four to be honest, as Daredtodream said, think forest have got more to come just yet
still think we have the edge in the fixtures..leicester is a derby for them, which are never easy..and neither is going to palace, no matter how ****e there doing, it can be a difficult place to win ..despite scunny managing it today.. theres also a real chance qpr will win promotion in the next 2 games, and be hungover when they play us.. definately going to the last day i reckon ...
A big positive today is that Simpson looks to be the player that we thought he might be- all it takes is for the strikers to bang in some goals in the last few games and we can do it. A worry for me is that QPR looked to outclass us last time we played them- could be one defeat which stops us but you never know, we could still sneak it!
I know it is so frustrating at times with the dropped points at home against teams like Scunny and Sheff Utd, however i am staying positive in that even if we do not do enough to get promotion or even get into the play offs at least we have tried, as the team since January have being brilliant, there is still room for improvement but we are certainly moving in the right direction. UTT
Hate to admit it but Forest look a better bet then us to grab that last spot. But some bald fella with a tash once quoted "footballs a funny ol game" so if we do our bit then anythings possible.
I still can't quite believe that we're even within a country mile of having a tilt at the playoffs. I was quite happy to see us take it one game at a time until we hopefully reached safety; a top 10 finish would still be a decent achievement IMO. Without getting carried away, it's great to be able to be positive about upcoming games.
If QPR beat Derby on monday and get a draw at Cardiff then they'll be Champions. Therefore they won't need to beat us for any reason whatsoever.
