Cheers Adrock. A quick snoop at the Wiki page tells us that he once got in a strop at being subbed (and he'd previously lost his captaincy), so he walked out the stadium and down Carrow Road. Never played for Norwich again. Handbags.
he started off tonight alright i thought, looked neat and tidy on the ball...but it was so slow paced its hard to judge
Looked decent in spells tonight, told hes a creative midfielder but didn't really create much hard to tell at this point, Bruce says hes going to take another look at him probably on Saturday!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Fotheringham He's had quite a few clubs, and seemingly quite a few unsuccessful trials, as well as optional additional years on contracts not taken up by previous clubs. From the bits on Wiki, his history should just say 'avoid'.
Personally i wouldn't sign him, looked exactly like what we have already. The game was crying out for someone to take the ball and dominate the game, dictate the play etc...... Mind you he did have Cairney playing absolutely tosh alongside him.
AVOID without a doubt. Just a journeyman now. Also loves a hissy fit and tantrum when it suits. Makes ***an look well chilled. We can do beter much better. Was not at Donny so did not see him but from what i heard was no better than what we have already. Next................... As for Tom Cairney. takes great skill to hit the post from 12 yards out. Dont think TC will be top of the order for future pens either. As for where it went wrong ? 2 words....Jimmy Bullard. Its a long way back for TC but he is getting there slowly. imo
I know people like to attack JB for anything, and I like to defend him for anything... but Cairney's best days happened whilst Jimmy Bullard was at the club. He started going downhill after he left, I'm not saying there's a direct correlation but I am saying he ain't gonna learn much playing alongside traffic wardens like Harper and McKenna…
McKenna's actually a talented football, probably not for a great deal longer, but he's certainly no traffic warden. Though I accept that Harper's definitely one. And he's a scruffy twat.
He thinks he is brilliant, he's pretty poor at best. Not really got any stand out qualities but his agent seems to get him trials all over the place, at teams way out of his league. No way he would get into your team. He worked hard for about 5 games, without really contributing anything, other than covering some grass. Sorry to say that, but it's te truth.
I thought he pinged a couple of good passes across the pitch here and there, but he was quite invisible for long periods of the game. I doubt we'll offer him a deal based on last night unless it's on a week-to-week basis intitially.
I think I would push Cairney out on loan if we get a midfielder or two in. I'm not saying for the full season but 3 months of regular first team action wouldn't hurt him.
