It's no bother! What have you done to deserve this? Maybe lead him toward the Liverpool board- he might end up liking it and staying!

Not at all London EC, as silkship said other views are welcome. The strategy we have on the Board is simply to ignore ELLARS (and anybody else) if their posts are rude or directed at winding one of us up. I intervened, if that's the correct word, in this case for two reasons. Firstly, he was having a go at someone from outside this Board (yourself) and on here, which is 'rude' and disrespectful to this Board. Secondly, because he was attempting to disrupt a reasonable debate by (on his own admission) changing the subject, which is childish and messy.

So, to repeat myself, so far as I'm concerned, your are more than welcome to contribute in any way that constructively adds to a lively Board

I personally welcome your contribution, you've managed to instigate a decent debate which is more than can be said about the capitals duo.

EDIT: Oops, silky and C58 beat me to it, and put it better too!

Cheers Oxo and Manobear - care to elaborate? :)

Quite the schmoozer LF. I never knew there was another side to you.

It's probably been covered but there's really nothing between the teams in terms of size. Fulham get more at home now while we get more away. In the lower leagues our support held up a fair bit more than Fulham's if that's worth anything. In terms of trophies won there's next to nothing in it- a Europa League final is something we're well off achieving any time soon and if Fulham could nab a League/FA cup then it would be fair to consider them bigger imo.

Might have something to do with this North.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr9VWYXygrc&sns=em

It's called away support something Fulham has never known. Even when we were in League One we took more fans away and they were in the Prem? Bigger club? <laugh>
10 years as a prem team and they only take 200 away??? Tells a story that, 25K at home and 200 away?

Don't care if its a pre season or not we take 3200 to Wycombe and they take 150. Even in the prem they don't have an away support, embarrassing.
So let the deluded lot think what they want as i remember the days when they got 2-3000K at home and 30 away supporters.
Deluded Muppets.

Ok i have contributed to the thread now.

Simple question to ELLERS and NORTHOLT

Were you just born stupid or do you have to Keep Practicing Each Day ?

I'm not sure why the obsession with away support (in particular by ELLARS) should be the single determining factor in defining 'bigger'. For one, it doesn't bring in revenue for the club - something that QPR will need next year if they are to sustain their wage structure and ambitions for a new ground. An improvement on last season's home attendance will be essential.

And if comparisons are to be made - last season Fulham sold out 98.2% of home games QPR sold out 82.3%

Historically Fulham always brought a bigger following to the Bridge than Rangers, though it seems Rangers away support is bigger now; as it should be, first season in the Prem for 17 years and new exciting places to visit etc..

Rangers brought the fewest away fans to the Bridge in the 70s, 80s and 90s out of London clubs with the exception of Wimbledon. Good to know their away support has improved since. Now they need to up their home crowds

Every post you contribute to this forum has Fulham’s away support mentioned in it…. It got boring a long time ago but you still seem to be amused by it…

As C58 mentioned last season Fulham sold out 98.2% of home games, QPR sold out 82.3%. That’s 82.3% games sold out with the smallest stadium in the premier league, when it’s your first season back in the Premier League.

Yet Uncle Tony is confident that you can fill a new 40K stadium… Yet you are calling us Deluded Muppets?

Rangers' away support was not so good at the Bridge last season. They did the fire drill with 20 mins to go when their team needed them most.

Ellers is obsessed with posting two things:
1. Fulham's away support (with pic of Sunderland away)
2. His favourite gag: Johnny come Roman (genius!)

But to be fair, when he is not in one of his bitter moods, he can post some OK stuff, even on the Chelsea board, so give him a chance.

I wonder how many more times ELLERS is going to get shown up on his beloved attendance figures?

Attendance is far from the only/most important criteria. And our capital-lettered friend would've realised that if he'd spent more time reading a well-reasoned debate (something he probably isn't accustomed to) rather than trying to wum.

I agree with Watford entirely.

On Cottager's point for some unbeknownst reason clubs are usually always judged on away support probably because that's where the more hardcore following is but you are right in that it's home games that bring in the revenue

It's funny because ELLERS bangs on about our poor Chelsea home crowds in the 80s, but we had amazing away support then. He says this proves we had poor support back in the day.

Simultaneously, he goes on about how good rangers away support is, but admits home crowds are poor. But says away support is what matters

He can't make his mind up

I am not sure that this a very fair comparison as in 70s, 80s and 90s Fulham didnt spend much time in the top flight so cant really be compared with Rangers over this period, between 75 & 95 QPR were probably Londons top club (in terms of league position) more often than Chelsea or Spurs, but overall as a complete neutral in this discussion I would suggest that Fulham and QPR are now similarly sized cubs with similar levels of support who will probably finish close together in mid table in the league next season.
