    The perfect 10 in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.

    She was so graceful and strong. As an 11 year old boy she was also another of my heroines.

    She was great.

    She can't be that much older than me as well.

    Ah yes the 1980 Olympics in Russia and Alan Wells winning gold for the UK urged on by his beautiful and eloquent wife Margo.

    As a 15 year old boy Alan was one of my heroes. Just a pity he didn't get the 200m as well.

    Heady days when Britain could win Golds.

    Also don't forget David Wilkie in the 1976 Olympics. The Aberdonian did Britain proud. Another of my heroes as a wide eyed innocent 11 year old.

    One of the lady swimmers is from Inverurie (munter) and one of the guys is from the Aberdeenshire area.
