Apparently Agger has told Rodgers he wants to leave. Who knows.

Also why does espn say Carroll rejected West Ham and BBC is still running it?

  2. three months ago, I would have said absolutely. However, I am not sure about Adam Johnson under Brendan Rodgers, he likes his players to work hard and is not going to allow more than one player in the team that doesn't always pull his weight, Suarez is better than Johnson IMO <ok>

  3. As I said above, a quality player for half a season or a good player for a full season?

IF, we sold Agger and got big bank for it, then would we be able to get 2 good players for full seasons and would that make up for the great player for a half?

You can only have 11 on the pitch at one time, and we have good young players coming through already...We cant afford to lose our top players.......

Brendan needs to come out with a bold statement as we are getting torn to pieces in the media at the moment and nobody knows what the **** is going on......This was supposed to be a positive summer for us and it is beginning to feel like everything is on the verge of falling apart...

i might be being a bit dramatic, but I just want some positive news about my football club.....Is that too much to ask?

Just being hypothetical. I think it was Capello or Lippi a few years back when people were asking why AC was not to the standard they were and then they went and got Thiago Silva, Robinho, Ibra, etc players of pretty high calibre and ( whichever coach) said that was the difference, having those top quality players to make the difference, not a team of good players.

You can look at it both ways, but I would like Agger to stay..............fit. <ok>

I just hope BR has some tricks up his sleeve, Ramirez would make me feel a lot more comfortable.

Yeah I have been looking forward to the new season and then you just read through this crap each day and it makes you feel depressed - a statement really needs to be made regarding our best players. This isn't just speculation we have rejected 2 bids for Agger so the fact we haven't come out with "he is not for sale at any price" does make me think we are selling him.

  8. Absolutely. If Agger could stay fit then no amount of money would encourage me to sell him <ok>

ramirez would make me feel alot better also, and would do the squads confidence the world of good as a signal of intention.

the guy has said he would prefer to come to us than City. There are not many quality players out there who would be saying that at this time, so i hope our owners do the sensible thing and bloody buy him......

  11. I think Ramirez joining would make everyone associated with the club feel better, just can't see it happening <ok>

Can't see it happening either, we've got about 15m burning a hole through our pockets and instead of adding 3 or 4 for an excellent player we have to go for the ex-Rodgers player.

There was a post by a Swans fan here 2 months ago, the day after announcing Rodgers appointment. He told us that Rodgers is only interested in players he's coached before. Looks like he was right <yikes>

We are getting slaughtered in the media, we need to stop it right now. Say Agger isn't for sale or tell us he's possibly leaving ffs. Don't let the fans have to sit through another deadline day disaster.

  13. Yep, I saw that too, seen a few other Swansea fans say similar too. Can't say I was too fussed about Sigurdson, same goes for Borini and now Allen. All better options than Dempsey though IMO <ok>

I heard Rodgers is looking to sell Agger and buy Ashley Williams from a good source. Cant reveal though but the first letter is H and the second is P. :emoticon-0109-kiss:

If we were to get a ridiculous offer (over £20m) then I can see the logic of selling him.

My only concern is how that money is going to be used - we received a lot of money for Torres, Babel etc but it wasn't spent wisely (remains to be seen at least). If we are going to spend the money on players like Allen and Ashley Williams, then I'd be annoyed (more annoyed if so we spent the funds on players like Williams rather than Allen).

With Torres we needed to replace him fast so it was a panic buy in a way.
