I donât see why including the plane and/or F1 car means that we will need to change the banner any more often. As far as Iâm aware they are not going anywhere, and in fact will probably be around longer than most of our current players. They are both iconic images to be associated with, and more importantly, are totally unique. Of course QPR is above all things a football club, but IMHO I just think that itâd be a big wasted opportunity to not include them. Thereâs absolutely no way to please everybody, so I think that the best thing to do would be to come up with a shortlist of banners to choose from, and then put them to the vote on a sticky.
I have yet to ever do a montage that ever pleases everyone... full respect to 1968 for doing this all. Please remember that its just a banner that 80% of the time will only be seen by N606 QPR fans ... why the **** we need to show the other 20% that we have a racing car and a aeroplane beats me? If you feel that way then make up a signature image. I have no time today to do anything however it took me 3 minutes to find this bloke Charlie Simpson he looks very much QPR and his illustration are very good ... why not think outside the box? and be original ... if its a goer then Brix or Nuts contact him as I bet he would love his great work shown He does a bit called The Loftus Road and IMO i love his stuff: I have chucked these into the right size and would love to use one as a base
Don't think that comment is particularly fair DT. Of course anyone can make their own signature image if they want. I'm just expressing an opinion about our banner like anyone else has the right to. Also, I've made it more than clear that I very much appreciate the work '68 or anyone else does on this, and I'm perfectly happy to go with what the majority want. I'm simply giving my view as to what I'd personally like to see included. Nothing more, nothing less.
No problem Taarabt meant nothing by it to anyone ...68 has done loads of work and I understand how hard it is when you are trying to fit stuff into a visual ... Given that 1968's on duty till tomorrow, I think it best to extend the deadline at least until he's in contact again. DT: Noted your suggestions above and they'll be included when it comes time to vote. If one of your mate's designs wins, just get him to email right size to the address given in the OP. I'm not looking for more work, just to get things moving before the season starts.
