According to Cov fans you have it completely wrong. He's a CB who can play RB or LB too. Apparently decent on the ball and will try to pass it out from the back, good positionally and so didn't have to put in the last ditch challenges Keogh did.
I watched a few of Cranie's performances at the Euro U21 tournament in Sweden, whenever that was. Struck me very much as someone who takes risks. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it makes him look a tit. He goes for very ambitious passes, tries to take on wingers, throws himself about. A player who needs a bit of maturing and guidance, and I suppose with the pensioners' alliance we're accruing at Elland Road, he'll get that in abundance. In short, a real love/hate figure. Suppose he'd be good enough back-up, but another signing that wouldn't suggest real ambition to me.
It was in 2009. Two seasons ago. Has he really developed that much since then in a fairly nondescript Coventry side?
Does it not make you wonder about the takeover? Either it isn't happening for a while yet or when it does funds are not going to be great? Do the cheap and free signings we are making suggest that Warnock will have money to spend, would he still be making these signings if he had a few million on the way or even in the bank right now???
People are saying it could still be two weeks away from completion. As for the money, I suppose they've not just given Warnock a huge pot to spend, nor a particularly small one either. Maybe he makes a request to them and they release the funds signing by signing. Could explain the four players in one day thing and also the reason the Kenny one dragged on for so long.
