That is a really bizzare point of view. We have a problem getting U21s into the first team, but if you look at the U21 england team there are a whole raft of Arsenal players in there. Walcott and OX are getting opportunities to play for the senior international side, which they never would have done if they stayed at Southampton; CL experience as well! If you had been able to offer Walcott and Ox top 4 football then I am sure they would have stayed. But in general they left Southampton for Arsenal, because Wenger does bring young english players on better than most managers. If they really thought their careers would go to the dogs then why the hell would they join Arsenal? If you are going to come onto the Arsenal board and write crap, at least think it through first. This idiotic stuff may sound good in a pub in Southampton, but it really is rubbish.
I'm still hoping there is in fact some truth in the Sahin rumours. I think he could be an amazing signing. It's always difficult as an Arsenal fan to know which rumours actually carry some substance. Wenger does'nt like to name players and when he does he often gives deliberately misleading information as to not affect any potential deals.
I dunno, I could sympathise with Saints fans if this came about. Especially since they've made it to the Premiership, they need to keep their best players. And it's very galling losing your best players to the same club. Where have we seen that before? Having said that, if we got a great signing off them, I'd be as happy as a pig in... you get the point. Crumbs, I'm a hypocrite...
It would have to be completed tomorrow, thats Malaga's deadline, otherwise they get relegated for not being able to pay tax.
Afobe might be going on loan to Bolton. His finishing in this pre-season has been dreadful but they do say that you have to be there to miss, so he must be doing something right. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...close-signing-Carlos-Sanchez-Benik-Afobe.html
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jul/30/andy-carroll-west-ham-liverpool You ever get the feeling that you are not wanted somewhere? I actually feel a bit sorry for Carrol.
niang seems to prefer us to man city...thats resulted in me rethinking my stance on wanting him tbh. http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...lks-back-on-as-arsenal-gear-up-for-second-bid
That makes sense. He has a better chance to develop here. He can go to City in 5 years time (sad but true).
Just to prove that i have sources close to the club https://twitter.com/RealYoungGunner/status/230077558216073216/photo/1
