I think we should take City to the cleaners - £25m+ for Agger! Agger is a top class player, no doubt and he forms the spine of the team. However, he is constantly injured which then disrupts our defence. Even if he stays, I think we need another top quality CB because of the reason above, but also Skrtel struggles without him. We need another ball playing defender, whilst Coates and Kelly develop. There were rumours about Kjaer and some Spanish defender (From Bilbao I believe) coming in as possible replacements ...
Although I would be dissapointed to see him go, I dont think he would be that hard to replace. We would miss his ability to bring the ball out of defence but theres probably 10-15 players in the league who are as good or better at defending. Plus he is far too injury prone. If he does go it should be a min of 20 mill or Johnson + 15 mill. I dont think we need to sign any defenders to replace him. I think Kelly is an excellent player, we've got Coates who is very promising and I think Sama is going to be a top top defender aswell. Then we've still got Carra for this year and wisdom aswell. If we sell him but get Adam Johnson in return and sign Ramirez and Allen with the remaining money I'd be chuffed with that.
If Citeh paid £24M for Lescott, they are truly taking the piss with a sub £20M bid for Agger. Saying that, I think we have an up and coming with Coates, so while he is not as good, he can be, and a little bit different, with his bicycle kick goals. Also better than Carra, who stands their pointing at everyone else to get into position, while the opposition run around him as if he wasn't there any more.
If Man City want Agger then we should be looking to cash in, we should be able to get £30m+ considering they paid £24m for Lescott and Agger's injury record. Although we'd struggle to get someone else in of the same ability, we could get someone else in that is more beneficial to the side by simply being fit an able to play!

We should be doing something like this but make it 16 mil + JOhnson. That would be decent enough but still don't want to lose agger. Would be sweet if we went and got DOuglas from Twente, 5 million Euros.
Yeah, Agger is merging on World Class and he scores goals...plays the way we want. I would hate to see him leave.
